Description

Always a head turner wherever I go!I would call this car a special 965 C2S Steel wide body Turbo, with proper 965 parts and a full C2S update that I have owned for the past 12 years. The car started life as a regular narrow body 964 Carrera 4 and before we go any further, it has never been a stolen recovery, an insurance salvage, or been in any kind of accident. In other words it was a clean 964 prior to Jay Lloyd deciding to build this car for himself. The car was his personal car and if you don't know Jay Lloyd, he is well regarded as a person who is meticulous in caring for Classic Porsches and he can be contacted if you are interested in researching this vehicle further. He knows the car well and has always serviced it at his shop 'Lloyds Autosport'. When the car was purchased from Jay, the engine at the time was a twin plug 3.6L 993, with Twin Garrett Turbos, making nearly 700hp.It was a monster and (in my opinion) way too crazy for a street car.I found it to be temperamental and after some unfortunate malfunctions with the Electromotive engine management system, I ended up having to replace the motor.I sourced out a good 3.3L 930 Turbo engine in 2011and had Jay completely rebuilt and modified it to something more suited for street use.The motor might have about 15,000 km on it and the modifications included a K26 Racing Turbocharger, B&B High flow headers, upgraded Intercooler, upgraded camshafts with different lift and duration, ported and polished heads, polished crank and it is all mated to an overhauled six speed 993 transmission with Autoart wheels and Nitto tires.I don't know what the horse power is now, but stock it put out about 300hp.The car ends up sitting too much and I don't get to drive it as much as I would like, having just 61,300 km on it. I am wanting to sell it to someone who will use it and appreciate it as much as I do. This car should continue to increase in value, as it is in exceptional condition and very well maintained. If the buyer ends up being a foreigner, I will do my best to assist them with shipping storage etc.Simply put, over the years I have invested way more than what I will ever get for this car, (I know that) but at the time, I wanted a car that would preform as well, or better than factory. It is quick, it is clean and it is a pleasure to drive and worth every penny of the buy it now price!
