Description
LOCATED IN MONTREAL, CANADA.
This a 1968 Porsche 912 SWB Project. It's a 5 gauges car that needs to be restored. The car is 90% complete and matchnumber. It's missing passenger seat, windshield, some interior trims and carpet. Original color was POLO RED.
Body:
As you see on the pictures, the car is partially dismantled. The front bumper is a fiberglass one. The hood needs some work (large section of bondo in the front to hide a dent). Both front fenders are in good shape. It has both headlights with chrome rings in good shape. The doors bottoms have some surface rust but no perforation. There is a dent on the roof near the windshield. The rear quarters are solid. Both rear wheel arches have no plastic. Driver side A pillar is rusted. The section next to the rear left side tail light needs some work. The section were the license plate goes is not perfectly straight but can be salvaged. Floors were repaired under the seats and there is 1-2 small holes near where the seats mount. There is a larger one on passenger side near the shifter. Overall the floors are quite solid (no problem standing on them). The nose panel was changed but the job was not finished. It still needs to be welded on (that's why a strap holds it). The fuel tank is include and in good shape.
Drivetrain:
Engine number is *1285636* . The person I bought it from told me the engine has been rebuilt and ran around 60 miles before it was park to start the restoration. We don't have any invoice for the work done. It turns freely and does not leak. Currently it doesn't run (no fuel tank). The transmission is 4 speed and gears engage properly. We don't know condition of the clutch. I never drove the car so I can't really tell the condition of the brakes, bushing, etc. but I would assume it needs to be replace.
Wheels: Four very straight 15'' Fuchs are included. Tires are old and cracked.
Interior: Only has driver seat. The headliner was replaced with some aftermarket stuff. Rear seat is in good condition. The dash pad is broken. Fuse box and most wires are there. VDO Gauges seems in good shape. PARTS INCLUDED ARE THE ONE PICTURED. IF YOU DON'T SEE IT I DON'T HAVE IT.
All the vin are there and are matching. 15000 $$ USD.
This is an excellent investment for someone handy that wants to do his own restoration.
ALBUM WITH 65 PICTURES: Buyers: 5% GST is applicable (9.975% Provincial taxe is also applicable to quebec province buyers)
