1970 Porsche 914

1970 Porsche 914 Roadster. 86,559 miles. This was a one owner car before it was acquired for the Hemken Collection by my grandfather. He purchased it from a widow in Webster City, Iowa. The car was purchased new in 1970 by her son who drove it for a few years before his brother drove it back to Iowa in 1975. His parents continued to drive the car on special occasions but when the husband passed, the car went to Williams, Iowa to become part of the collection. This roadster has a removable hard top that is stowed in a rear compartment. With its horizontally opposed four-cylinder 102ci mid-engine located from the rear, the car uses the front space for luggage. It has a five-speed transmission and fuel injection. The car was running when my grandfather purchased it, but unfortunately it has sat too long and the engine is stuck. The car is in very nice condition but does not run and drive. I see no rust on the body.
