Description
Here for sale is my Porsche 924 Race Car. I haven't raced it, and due to a change in living arrangements am unable to keep it for next year. I have done multiple track days in it and it was raced for several years before I owned it in the HSCC and BRSCC.
Car specs to the best of my knowledge:
2.0 litre Porsche 924 engine. The engine has been lightened by JGC Porsche to achieve balance.
High lift billet cam (for the BRSCC this would need changing for a Piper Camshaft)
Pipercam Vernier Pulley
Lumenition Electronic Ignition System
New oil filter and oil
Upgraded anti roll bars (I believe from a 968, there were other upgrades too)
Leda Suspension
EBC Brake Pads
Team Dynamics 1.2 15x7 race wheels with Dunlop Semi Slick Tyres (3mm average tread)
2 x Spare Sets of Tyres on Wheels and a Spare Set of Rims - all 14 inch, one with Toyo R888, one with Kumho Ecsta Sport.
New Lexan Side Windows
New OMP TRS-E Race Seat
New RSA 6 Point Harness
Dashboard has been completely redone - switches have been built into the dash. A couple of the gauges are temperamental but all wired in.
Brand new wiring loom - the old wiring wasn't great so we have replaced 90% of the wiring.
Now for the not so good bits of the car that I've found:
The alternator could do with a new mount, this one is broken and has a semi-permanent fix.
The return fuel pipe was leaking so I have a temporary fix on this, I will try to have a look at this before the sale.
The car needs a paint job. I have started painting the inside, so behind the dash is painted before reinstalling. On the outside, it could do with a bit of TLC, a rub down and spray.
The rear o/s quarter has had a hit and been patched up before I bought the car. No rips in the metal or anything, but could do with being made neater.
Open to offers on the car, such a shame to see it go as it runs beautifully now and I have spent hours getting it ready to go. Will make a great race car for somebody.
