Heated seats MAY be there but are hard to find if present. Comes with original manuals, tools, spare tire, jack and electric pump, an installed battery tender and a California Car Cover. The original radio goes with the car, as do the original slotted wheels mounted onto old tires with 500 miles on them. Now has NEW chrome Boxter twist wheels with brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.
HISTORY / CONDITION:
Bought new in Boston by a Hartford physician. He drove it for four years and 12K miles before it was put into protective storage. It was fully serviced in 2005 with $7,000+ of expense and put back into storage. As second owner, I bought it in 2016 and have invested a verifiable $18,000 into refreshment this past year, including timing belt and water pump service, modern AC, every fluid changed, new tires and wheels, new Bluetooth Blaupunkt, engine tuned, and every surface lovingly cared for. the objective has been to prepare for show, as I also have other Porsches including a 928GT. Ive driven it about 1000 miles this year.
There is no car fax, because the car has so little active lifespan. However, we have the original purchase docs, the service records during its driving history, and the extensive service receipts from 2005 and 2017. The car is fully documented and the 13, 200 miles readily verifiable through those documents and the visual condition (note seat bolsters not creased). The paint is ALL original as measured with a paint meter. There has been no accident damage ever.
The dashboard has three small cracks less than an inch each. Two are under the place where a radar detector would sit and one is off to the side. I barely saw these and my inspector prior to purchase missed them too, indicating the relative insignificance of the fault. However, i have a cap for the dash which installs over the original, made from the same plastic material. i have not installed it since the cracks are so small, but the cap goes with it if you feel differently. There are a couple places where they apply leather over the dash for about $900. i have pics and info on all this. beside this fault, the only other significant blemish is that the fabric hatch shade ripped during cleaning. I have it being recovered now, but do not think it will look original and I do not plan to use it myself. I do not guarantee supply of a hatch shade.
Otherwise, she is absolutely gorgeous, exceptionally well preserved and maintained, and as close to new as is possible for an early classic Porsche.
VALUATION / MECHANICS:
My price is firm, and I am not interested in social media discussion of the marque. If you are truly interested, i can provide strong references from the mechanic and the detailers. The Hagerty valuation index indicates $55,900 for this model in this shape (look it up). The May, 2015 article in Hemmings (look it up) indicates an average 6-7% increase in valuation annually which increases even more in the future. Woodside credit or JJ Best offers classic car financing for extended periods for about 7% with 10% down, so appreciation covers your financing expense.
I welcome your personal or professional inspection. Also, I can bring her on nice days to your choice of mechanics for an assessment. At the 'Buy It Now' price, I will provide a limited warranty for issues your inspection may cite and that Porsche would verify as significant. I reserve the right to end this auction early in the event the car sells by other means, since it is listed elsewhere too. I can be reached for discussion with notice
