Description
Up for sale is a 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S in Silver Rose. This rare spec was only offered in 1988 and is one of around 700 Turbo S's delivered to the United States.
I hate to part ways with this car but I have to move and can't take it with me. I would have to classify this Porsche as a "project" as the interior is currently out and in the process of being switched from its original maroon interior to black. I started this project of interior swap a couple of years ago and got behind and have yet to finish. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, I don't have the time to finish and I don't have anywhere to keep it at my new place. Thus, this car is being offered in it's current state with NO RESERVE and a low starting bid! This car must sell. The buyer will have to make arrangements for transporting it to its final destination. The car must be picked up by 1/21/2022. This is your opportunity to take on an easier project and make a pretty good profit selling it on, or add it to your collection.
The car has been kept in a climate controlled garage during my entire 10 years of ownership. It has been regularly serviced and ran well before its long storage/interior project. I really don't have any mechanical issues to disclose. This vehicle has a clean title and history report and shows very nicely.

The Good:
The exterior of the car is in really good shape. The previous owner spared no expense on a really good paint job and it it still looks great. There are no flaws in the exterior to highlight. Some tasteful mods have been done such as adding 968 mirrors and door handles which were painted to match.
I have added 996 five spoke rims which I think add an updated look to the car. The original wheels will also be included.
I have sourced about 85% of the interior parts needed for the conversion to black interior. These include a nice set of 2 way power seats.
I have purchased a new set of custom fitted carpets (dark grey) for about $900 they will also be included.
The cracked dash (a common issue) was wrapped in leather by a shop near me and looks great, the center console also go the same treatment. This was around $1200.

The Bad:
Like I mentioned before, the interior is currently out and needs to be reinstalled. This will be the buyers responsibility to complete.
The door cards that I have sourced are not in the best shape and I have been looking for alternatives but I will include them and let you decide.
The car has been sitting for a couple of years in its current state. I would recommend fluid changes/tune-up before putting on serious mileage.

In the current market I don't think you can go wrong in taking on this project, it would be a solid investment. I sincerely hate to have to do this but my circumstances are out of my hands. I hope it goes to a good home. Good Luck!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
