Description

POTENTIAL CLUB RACE CAR: This 944 has no sunroof, consequently it is both lighter and has astronger body than those cars that have sunroofs, which is most of them. If you've crashed your race car, this body should get you competitively back on the track.
HISTORY:I bought this car ca. 2006 as a project to be my son's second car. (His first was a 924.) In 2008 he drove the car in high school and through four years of college, 120 miles from home. During that time he had no accidents and got no tickets. He was an honor student.:)He has taken a job in a large city and needs no car. Since his university graduation in 2014, the car has not been driven regularly. Earlier this year, his brother drove the car to Colorado. On the way home the engine died. We brought it to Broken Arrow on a trailer.
BATTERY COMPARTMENT: This car has no rust. Rust in the battery compartment is a common 944problem. If bad enough, it can eat through the longitudinal strut. When I bought this car, I cleaned the engine compartment and coated the inside of the battery compartment with white roofing cement, which also muffles noises. I've kept the battery vent connected to the outside air. Failure to do this is what creates a rust problem.

MAINTENANCE:A full file exists on the car since I've owned it. The only person to have worked on it besides myself and the air conditioning shop, is Tom Charlesworth (918-664-8714) who is the former editor of the technical section of the Porsche club magazine. I've owned several Porsches since 1987. Tom has worked on them.

PAINT:This car was my first painting victim. I didn't know I needed a drier on my air line, which resulted in the clear coat not adhering. The paint is Porsche Alpine White L90E.

ACCIDENTS:There have been none since I've owned the car and no signs of any before that. There is no rust.Grinders have not been used on the car so the galvanizing should be intact.

SHIPPING: Shipping is up to the winning bidder. There will be no charge to pick up the car in Broken Arrow.
