They say that a Porsche will last a man a lifetime and this may be true, but in order for that to be so there’s more than just a few things that must be done. Many who understand the Porsche brand know that maintenance plays the largest role in the longevity of the cars that so many enjoy.
I have maintenance documents for the Boxster on file in a large binder for those who wish to inquire about the vehicles maintenance history.
The clutch and flywheel was done at 64.6 k
Water pump replaced at 75k
Spark plugs and wires replaced at 88k
Ims bearing and rear main seal replaced at 90k (the ims bearing was pinned, you want this done)
New cv boots, transmission mounts, motor mounts, and alternator at 105k
The top was serviced at 105k
New Michelin ps3 tires
The exterior is polar silver (a silver color with a slight blue tint tint to the hue.) Porsche produced the 986 generation Boxster in 3 silver colors. Arctic silver, polar silver, and GT silver (based on the GT550 and only 1250 models were gt silver.) Polar silver is not as common a color as arctic silver is and it’s a little harder to find.
The interior and top are both Metropol blue which is also not as common interior or top color as the standard black.
The car runs and drives like new and is in perfect mechanical condition, it’s pure joy to drive especially with the top down.
