Description
1999 2.5 Porsche Boxster for sale. I have owned this car for the past 9 years and she is an absolute pleasure to drive. During that time she has wanted for nothing. She has been serviced by Porsche Stratford, Bosch and maintained by an Independent specialist at HP Performance in Hainault
The paintwork is excellent, although for a car in its 16th year there will be the odd mark and scuff.
Full service history - next service due in 5000 miles (oil).
During that time she has had the following:
New battery
6 new ignition coils
New steering lock housing and indicators
Brakes replaced
Clutch replaced
Air Mass Unit replaced
New Radiator
New Air Con Unit
New Window locks and lift cables
Alternator (Bosch)
The only negative is that there is a misfire in Cylinder 4, 5 and 6. This is due to the Cam Shaft Actvator which requires replacing. I have been informed by an independent Porsche specialist that this is a £500 labour job (part is £100 for the Actvator or £500 for the pack, which he stated was advisable) and can be done anytime, including at the next service and is not a job that requires any immediate attention. The car drives perfectly and I only noticed it last week as the engine management light came on. It only affects at 1000-2500 rpm, a very tiny mark up in acceleration, as soon as the car hits 2500rpm the drive is perfect.
I have now decided to upgrade to a newer 911 so have decided to sale her. She has been without doubt the best car I have ever had the privilege of driving and owning
The Porsche is advertised elsewhere for £3500 - and I am open to sensible offers. Any viewing or inspection is welcome by emailing me for times. As soon as the first bid is placed I will let the auction conclude. Cash on collection.
