Hi Well.It comes with a heavy heart that i've got to sell my RENAULT 5 GT TURBO PHASE 1, becoming ultra rare as its the phase 1. I bought this nearly 1.5 years ago, with full intentions to use and restore, it came from essex and live in norfolk, bought and drove it all the way home with not an ounce of trouble, fantastic 80's hot hatch icon, loved it..and still do. But i have lost the garage it was stored in and i dont want it left out in the rain, as it a cracker for the age, nearly 30yrs old.
I took it out a familys garage today, after charging it yesterday. Got in and bloody hell started on the button, no wheel bind nothing, got home. It still puts a massive smile on my face when you hear the turbo and dump valve, musically combine. I have listed the small faults on the car i.e- Bubbling of rust etc, as per condition description.
If your looking for a true R5 GT TURBO PHASE 1 classic, then you would have shopped around. These are making firm money and will only rise more with numbers dwindling.
Mint R5's are fetching 10k and up, mine isnt mint but wouldn't take much to make it so. (If the new owner wanted to put back to OEM it will need - Alloys, Interior seats, Door cards, Rear parcel shelf, obviously engine has been modifyed, but tastefully).
As per pictures you can see there is a K-tec chrome Roll Cage, Corbeau Bucket Seats & Luke Harnessess, Momo Steering Wheel, 17 inch alloys Rare Good condition, Tyres Still have life, Samco Hoses, Dump Valve (Set on Min Boost). Dash A1 condition (No cracks), Pioneer CD Player, Sunroof (No Leaks), Clifford Concept 650 Alarm (fully operational). Gear selecting nice and smooth, no issues.
So there you have my R5, im realistic in terms of price i do have a price in mind, im going to start auction £1K, i have listed elsewhere and reserve the right to remove ad. No oversea buyers, no test pilots, please only bid if you have funds and are keen to buy, many thanks.
JUST A NOTE. THE CAR HAS NO M.O.T AND CURRENTLY SORNED , ALSO R5 HAS ONLY DONE 77.5K VOSA CERTIFICATE SHOWS FROM 2010 IT DID 71059 (WOW), REMEMBER IT STARTS AND DRIVES THANKS.. CASH ON COLLECTION
