Multi Airbags in the front, rear, sides and seats. Highest NCAP safety rating in its class. Double ISOFIX points in the rear.
Huge glass roof in two parts. The front roof retracts simultaneously with the pillarless side windows when using the 'grand-air' button. The runners could do with some new silicon lubricant (easy task) to keep the roof gliding well. Also fitted with an electric sunroof blind, wing mirrors and seat adjustments. Heated front seats and wing mirror fold. SatNav, Multi CD player, rear parking sensors.
Approximately 400 of these sophisticated Coupe MPV's were imported to the UK in Right Hand Drive in either 2.0 Litre or 3.0 Litre Petrol variants. Some cars were allocated numbered plaques with a certificate & book pack. This car is numbered 192. The certificate and book pack have been retained with the car.
This car drives very well and the engine is silky smooth with good power. There is an oil leak which my garage have not been able to identify the cause of. They have suggested using a degreasant as the next stage. They say it could be something serious or could be something simple but until they work on detection in more detail they cannot diagnose. Certainly the car is still running beautifully and there is never any smoke from the exhaust and no noise on start up or during driving no matter what the conditions. I am funding essential house repairs and simply cannot deflect funds either small or large into car maintenance or repair.
The paintwork is in excellent condition but for a few bumper chips and has an almost glass like finish. There are some small blemishes on the aluminium roof rails which is typical of this model. The chassis is galvanised steel, so should last a lifetime. The wing mirror mounts on Avantimes tend to lose their coating but those on this car are in very good order. The stereo works well and all cubbies and soft close hatches are working just as they should. The headlining at the rear has remained correctly positioned and the boot hatch rubbers are all firm and strong. Both portions of the boot shelf are in situ and in good order.
Other than some scratches on the cover for the stereo unit, the interior is in very good order with high quality cream leather upholstery. The panel on the drivers seat with the electric adjustments often gets damaged, and this especially shows up on cream interior cars but this has remained in excellent condition on this car, as has the seatbelt surround.
I have six old MOT's and a variety of receipts (mostly Renault dealership) and some booklets for the car, sufficient to verify this to be the correct mileage. There are two remote locking alarm keys and locking wheel nut for the alloy wheels.
A genuine joy to drive and a pleasure to own such a capable and interesting car.
