What you are looking at is a 2002
Renault Clio Sport 172, this started life as a standard car and has been
transformed meticulously into a track car that is also road legal. It comes with 12 months MOT included.
This car was built as a bit of a track day fun toy, but as with all my projects it all got a bit serious and I am sure as you will be able to tell from the spec I don't mess about when it comes to cars.
This car has been built over the last few months but is now for sale due to deciding to go out racing for this season instead of just track days. Unfortunately I do not have time for both so I would prefer to see this car go to someone who will use it and appreciate it.
So the car itself, firstly, since building the car it has completed 150 miles AT MOST, so as you can imagine it is all in great condition. There has been thousands spent on this car and it has been prepared beautifully.

Engine:
49000 Miles from new
Full new engine management system due to faulty immobilizer, including locks.
Remapped to 181HP
New OE spec Water pump
New OE spec Cam belt
New OE spec Aux belt,
New OE spec dephaser pully
Original Airbox with a Pipercross Performance air filter (no hideous cone filter!!!)
Oil and filter just been replaced
Gearbox:
It has had a replacement gearbox (low mileage) fitted due to noisy diff in original box.
New LUK clutch and release bearing
Suspension/Chassis:
Bilstein B14 coil overs, Lowered roughly 25mm on the Front and 50mm on the rear.
Eibach camber bolts front
Eibach Rear 2.5 degree camber shims
White line rear anti roll bar
Custom built front chassis brace
Rear turret brace.
New Dog bone gearbox stabiliser
New Nearside wishbone
Brakes/tyres:
New Brembo high carbon discs all round
New OE spec rear wheel bearings
New Ferodo Ds2500 pads
New Goodrich braided hoses on all corners
Eibach 15mm rear hub centric spacers
Eibach 25 mm front hub centric spacers
New Toyo TR1 195/45/16” tyres all round (completed a few session on tracks)

Stripped apart from door cards and dash board, heater unit and blowers all left in.
GRP Lightweight race seats, exceptionally comfortable!
3” 5 point harnesses
Bolt in half roll cage, constructed from 50mm seamless stainless tube to super touring spec, including lower brace across the legs, rear seat supports and mounted to ISO belt anchorage points. This has been left unpainted (not because I couldn’t be bothered, but I just like the look of it!!) it is easy to remove so can easily be painted if you choose.

Exterior:
Large tow loops
Large colour matched sun strip
No bodywork modifications or stickers
As you can see there has been no expense spared when building this car and the parts alone are worth the asking price for whole car! I have probably missed off some detail somewhere as there is just so much to list.
The car can be viewed in Nottingham (NG9) or Loughborough (LE12) and viewing is obviously advised. I will not be entertaining time wasters just looking for a go out in the car. So bear that in mind.

As can be seen from the Photos this is a very low mileage, clean car and has been built to my standards. I dont mess about when it comes to preparing cars. We have recently found out this car has been in an accident at some point in its history and so is a cat C. This was never a problem to me and the car is straight and in great condition.
The car is cash on collection or via bank transfer. the car will not be moving until all funds have cleared and the full amount is paid.
If no interst is shown i will be breaking this car for parts. if there is anything from the car you would be interested in purchasing then register your interest and i will make the decision about breaking the car or not depending on the level of interest.
