Description

2004 RenaultSport Clio 182!!!
106,000 milesMOT until Jan 2016Expensive Stainless Steel Exhaust System (sounds really lovely and has increased the cars the torque and overall BHP!!!)Engine completely standardBluetooth Stereo (allows you to make/receive phone calls hands free)Aux InESPAir ConCruise ControlPower steeringElectric WindowsStandard bucket sports seats (nice condition - see pics) Xenon headlights
Good points: Car pulls like a train, engine lovely and quiet but exhaust makes it sound amazing when putting your foot down. I have driven 182's in the past and this is much faster. Down to the upgraded exhaust I imagine.
Negatives: Every car has them and I am a honest seller so here it goes: The bodywork has a few blemishes and marks (most will T-Cut out), also has a little bit of rust over the drivers rear arch. No service history but I have found out from research that it was previously owned by a mechanic not so long ago and he did all the work himself. Also found out that the Cambelt was changed at 69,000 miles but have no proof. If it had not been changed the car would not be running now.
Reason for sale: This is a 100% genuine sale. I am 40 years old this year and having a midlife crisis you might say I wanted to reclaim my younger years and so I purchased this car just 2 x days ago. Don't worry I have the FULL log book. The reason for this change of mind from me is that bought this with my emotional side but must be sensible I am a family with a young child. I was looking around for a sensible 4 x door car (as have a 3 year old daughter) but in a fit of madness I saw this clio 182 which was advertised locally to me and my emotional side took over. Looking to reclaim my youth and having had many hot hatches in the past I just thought yes, I want it and within 24 hours had purchased it. Mainly down to the genuine bloke I purchased it from and when I test drove it. I loved it so much (made me smile for ages). It had been well looked after mechanically and very clean inside. This is why I said yes to buying it. My reality check started the very next day however when My wife and her friends began ripping into to me about it saying do I think I am 20 years old again etc? - bloody woman. Also my wife has made a very valid point saying we needed a 4 x door car (as she will sometimes be driving my car as well) and as our daughter is only 3 yrs old she is still in a child seat. So a car with 4 x doors is needed for me rather than a small car with 3 doors like this Clio. So I have therefore conceded defeat and am selling her (the Clio 182 that is, not the wife though the thought had crossed my mind! ha,ha). I have not insured or taxed her yet as only purchased her on Friday night and was planning to do that tomorrow (Monday). She does still have TAX on her as the log book has not been sent off yet as I have the whole thing.
Option1) - The person I purchased the car from very kindly left it to me to send the whole log book off. The green slip new keeps part is still empty - not filled in. The main part has my details in. So one option is who ever buys this Clio 182 from me can either tip-ex over my details and write in there details (the previous keeper signature bit does not need top ex over as it has the former keepers signature on it and he is the registered keeper the DVLA have on their system so all good there. So just tip-exing over my details should be totally fine according to many forums I have just read on this issue) as the signature of the current DVLA registered keeper is legit and present. The buyer can fill in the currently not filled in Green slip so to get the TAX put in their name at the Post Office just the same as with any normal sale which then logs them as being the owner of the car on the DVLA TAX system part anyway.. Also the Green slip gives them proof of them being the new owner.
Option 2) - The other option is for the buyer to fill in a new logbook replacement form at the Post Office (costs £20) and post it off to the DVLA like you would do a Log Book.
It is as said a 100% genuine sale. I am seeing this car from my family home and If required I will give you full receipt of sale as way of proof, although you have the green slip to keep in the car or your wallet anyway. Also both options above will get your log book sent out to you.
The car drives well and the engine is spot on. It does not overheat of have any knocking etc type noises. None. Lovely car and pulls like a train. Due however to the few bodywork issues and inconvenience of the above filled in log book issue, plus my need to get a family car (which is what I should o purchased in first place) I have priced this car at a stupidly low price of just £1,395. Complete bargain!!! - cheapest on the net!!!
Priced to sell: £1,395 : any AA or RAC mechanical checks more than welcome.
