Description

If you like the idea of paying only £20 tax a year and getting 55-60 miles out of a gallon of diesel (even 78 mpg on the motorway) then this is the car you are looking for!
We bought this car three years ago and had one or two costly issues to start with: the sunroof (which was a pain to fix), a cracked drive-shaft which was replaced, and a new clutch. But since then, we had no problems. In fact, the money we saved in the last three years on road tax and fuel more than made up for the initial repairs.
Think of this: we have driven it from London to Dortmund in Germany in one tank, with diesel to spare!!!(and that was with 3 of us and luggage) This must be the world's most economical car! Besides the economy though, its a powerful little car too, that accelerates really fast(0-60 mph in 11.8 secs) and drives nicely (you can see for your self if you take it for a test-drive). It's also quite smart looking, it has no rust anywhere, nice alloys, full size spare wheel, sports seats, light gray interior, immobiliser, alarm, lots of top-spec extras, like the audio controls on the steering rake, remote locking, front fog lights, etc. I have also kept all the receipts and service history.
Here are some of the other specs/selling points:Isofix child seat anchor points3x3 point rear seat belts and rear head restsHeight adjustable drivers seat and steering wheel rake.ABSAir conditioning (needs re-gassing though)Body coloured bumpersCD playerDrivers, passengers and side airbags (it's definitely big on safety!)Folding rear seats (good for expanding the boot)Front electric windowsElectric sunroof
Realistically, there are some negatives: it has done quite a few miles (but then again, I have been to Germany twice in it).
The suspension is quite solid (a bit harder than I would like on London's pothole ridden roads!) And it's quite low at the front, making speed-bumps a little more challenging. The boot space is quite sad (not as bad as a Nissan Micra I suppose, by still small) and the rear passengers may all enjoy lovely headrests and 3-point seatbelts, but don't have much leg room. There is also a little hole in the divers seat fabric, and a few tiny marks on the paintwork. The wing mirrors, are supposed to be heated, but have been replaced with normal ones. Finally, one of plastic headlamp casings is starting to "dull" a little.
Realistically though, these are minor issues, and i can honestly say that I wouldn't sell this car if my wife hadn't had an operation on her left leg, forcing us to need an automatic car. When we swapped our little VW polo 3 years ago for this Clio, it was the best thing we did- and that's saying something, considering that I'm German!
I have made every effort to be as honest as possible, listing the good and the bad without hiding anything (see photos).
I recently put new tyres on it, have kept all the receipts and service history, and it just passed its MOT less than two months ago, so you have nothing to worry about. If you have any other questions feel free to call me on 07812041768
However, as I desperately need to get an automatic car so my wife can drive again, the price is non-negotiable.
Thank you.
