Description
This is an add for my 2003/03 Renault Clio 172 cup. I bought her from a dealer but they gave no details on the car and it was sold "as is" as a part-exchange.
There was no history with the car bar a receipt from May this year when the car was MOTd and it was for oil/filter change, rear suspension work, bulbs and a few odds and ends like rear brakes. I was clear it had been lowered and after some brief research, I found the car used to be a fast road/track car running a 230bhp turbo conversion, and had supporting mods to match. These I've found are: KTec stealth super sport exhaust, KTec decat, Koni adjustable shocks, Koni -40mm springs, uprated dogbone mount, polybushed arb, goodridge braided lines and probably more. The turbo engine is sadly long gone and a standard 172 engine is back in the car.
The car drives like a race car and sadly is too harsh for me and my family to use as a daily driver due to the mods so rather than strip parts off, I am offering her up for someone to enjoy as is.
I've fitted 2 tyres, had the tracking done and generally cleaned her up nice again and she looks really lovely.
Bad points- no history as mentioned, dephaser is due a change but it's not the worst in the world. There is a very small ding on passenger door B-pillar where the Cup badge is, and the usual wear and tear for a 12year old car. Otherwise the gearbox has a crunch on 3rd when warm but I was told an oil change should help this by the garage doing the tracking.
I would prefer a swap for a standard 172 cup ideally but will consider any swaps, part-ex and cash sale.
