Description
Hello and welcome to my advert for my Renault Clio 182!
Where to begin! This car is absolutely fantastic, by far the best car I've ever owned. Extremely well maintained, brilliant condition inside and out, quick when it needs to be and really grips round the corners. Even has a really cool private plate, which is included in the sale. If you're looking for a small quick car that's genuinely been looked after and not the usual 'serviced it myself' and ragged about, this is 100% for you. If I'm completely honest, I'm not sure why I'm getting rid of it myself. I use the car daily, a 45 mile round trip daily to be exact, and quite frankly the car is that good that I feel like I'm almost ruining it by putting so many miles on the clock. Brief spec is as follows:
- 66,000 miles
- Full Renault service history
- Timing belt replaced
- MOT until June 2016, but can extend if the price is right
- Half leather half alcantara seats
- Climate control
- Cruise control
- ESP
- Xenon headlights
- Auto wipers
- Amazing condition
- Extremely well maintained
- Cheap on fuel, cheap on insurance too
- Very quick, flies round a corner
I'll start with condition of the car. I would be lying if I said the car was 'nice' or 'clean'. The car is mint. There's a few definitions of mint to different people, but it really is mint, I'm hoping the pictures are good enough to show this. As you read on you'll see how extremely fussy I am! Interior barely looks touched, especially the back seats! There is the slightest bit of wear on the suede on the driver's side seat, but I bet my life if you came and saw it you'd think I'm crazy for even mentioning it. Everything else is in great condition, including the steering wheel grips! If you're a Clio fan, you'll know that this is a common wear and tear item. Everything works as it should, air con/ climate control, auto wipers, the alarm, the stereo, the radio, rear wiper etc etc, all works! The exterior is amazing, I've spent some solid hours and patience getting it this way, all original paint too. No dents, no scuffs, no weird marks in the paint. All panels are straight. Paint was corrected and sealed by myself some time ago, since then I've just kept on top of it and still looks stunning. Water literally runs off the paint, and if you're in to the whole detailing, you'll know what a great feeling it is. Only one thing that really let's it down and again it's pretty minor, there's a very small stone chip on the bonnet. It was touched up by the previous owner, but you can still see it a tiny bit. I can provide pictures if necessary. From memory one of the wheels has a little bit of paint flaking off where i think they're original too, but other than that it's fantastic.
Mechanically the car is perfect. Everything completed on the car has been carried out by Renault main dealer, not even a specialist, all main dealer, all stamped up too. Crucial timing belt has even been changed twice. The first at 35,000, along with a water pump. At 44,000 the belt was replaced again. Unfortunately there is just a stamp with the mileage, but I have called Renault in Woking and have confirmed that this was due to the dephaser pulley making a strange noise. The belt and dephaser pulley were replaced. All services have been stamped, all from Guildford Renault and Woking Renault. Various service parts were replaced but nothing unusual; spark plugs, cabin filters, air filters etc. 12k, 26k, 35k, 48k, 56k, 62k. Drives really well, want to say like a new car but that's probably OTT. I do 260 miles a week at the moment, and I only put in £35 a week in the tank. I DO NOT rag this car around. More revs, more fuel, more money, simple really. I very rarely go above 3k revs driving to and from work unless I have to pull out quickly, and hand on heart that is god's honest truth. Really has been looked after! Michelin pilot sports all round too, brilliant grip round the corners. Again if you're a Clio fan, you'll know that the head can leak oil, I have tried to picture how dry the block is, but if you come to view I will more than happily take the engine cover off to show that it is bone dry. And no, I haven't cleaned it so that when you get home it's leaked everywhere. Look after a car, it looks after you!
Car has had 1 previous owner before myself, who obviously looked after the car as much as me. I would really love this car to go to someone that would look after it as much as I have. All documents are present including the original brochures and even an unused 'accident pack'. Little touches make all the difference!
To conclude then, the advert is long but I couldn't leave it simple. Fantastic condition, extremely well maintained, low mileage, low owners, full main dealer service history with original documents and a private plate too. Would you pay less for a same mileage car with average history and a dealer that doesn't really care? Or one that is evidently highly maintained, giving the new owner complete piece of mind? I know which one I'd pick! The car even comes with 2 months warranty in my name with RAC which are left on the car, so any issues (which I doubt) we can sort it out between us.
Looked at other examples so I have priced accordingly, but please do not hesitate to message me on here, on contact me on 0794three24two61three (Dan) for any questions or to make me an offer. I'm an easy going person so don't be afraid!
I do ask to contact me before making a 'best offer', if you win via eBay they will charge me an arm and a leg for selling the item. NO P/X. Bank transfer, PayPal or cash on collection from Farnborough, Hampshire. May be able to travel for extra money for serious buyers.
PLEASE NOTE - If you place an offer or buy the item, and do not corporate with eBay rules (wasting my time) you are eligible to pay for the selling fee and the listing fee. THINK before wasting everyone's time!
Thanks for viewing and good luck!
