Description
Due to our new baby, we are selling my wife's car as she needs a bigger car. Its a very clean car with all modern bells and whistles. Always serviced on time.
Details below are taken from Car reviews website that is self explanatory:
'The Megane Dynamique LX is the top vehicle in the range where full leather trim and 17 inch alloy wheels are added. The Megane has a long and extensive list of standard features. Automatic climate control air-conditioning, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, rain sensitive automatic wipers, automatic headlamps and keyless entry are just some of the features that Renault has incorporated into the Megane. The Dynamique is powered by a two litre four-cylinder engine, developing 98.5kW at 5,500rpm, and 191Nm of torque at 3750rpm. Ninety per cent of the engines torque is available from a usable 2000 rpm. Detail changes have been made to the engine to improve efficiency and reduce noise levels and vibrations, and more powerful engine management software is used to improve the efficiency of the variable valve timing.
The engine drive belt design has been redesigned to reduce engine rotational noise. A two piece or dual mass flywheel has been fitted to reduce vibration from the engine being transferred through to the transmission. The automatic transmission has a flick shift sequential selector. Buyers that have safety as a major consideration in their vehicle purchase will be impressed by the high levels of active and passive features built into the Megane. The Megane has won a five star rating in the EuroNCAP crash testing program, pushing it to the forefront of its class for safety. Using the occupant 'survival cell' design principal, Renault has used a combination of varying strength steels in critical areas of the body structure to control deformation. Better control of body deformation allows for a reduction in deceleration suffered by the occupants and lowers the risk of injury caused by uncontrolled intrusion. A new laser welding process has meant the different strength grades of steel used can also be varied in thickness to enable the whole structure to be lighter, which helps in improving fuel consumption and performance.
The Megane is equipped with twin volume driver and passenger airbags, thorax airbags, built into the front seats, and two curtain airbags to protect both front and rear occupants. Seatbelts have double load limiters and double pretensioners fitted, and in the Megane Sports hatch an anti submarining airbag has been installed into the seat base. The aim of the airbag is to hold the occupant firmly against the seat belt pre tensioner in the event of an impact. Starting the Megane requires the use of a flat credit card sized remote. The remote is inserted into a slot in the lower section of the centre console and an engine start/stop button pressed. Plenty of seating and wheel adjustment cater for all size drivers. Once underway the Megane performed well. Certainly, it's no rocket ship, but with most of the engine torque available at low engine revs the Megane pulls away nicely.
Megane delivers a confident feel on the road, with very little body roll. Ride quality was excellent. The Dynamique hatch is an enjoyable refined car to drive that has class-leading levels of safety built in. Compared to its competitors in the small car class on price, the Megane Dynamique is in the top league. For the money, the buyer is getting a highly optioned, well engineered vehicle'.
Brand new tyres were bought 6000kms ago. The registration expires on 10th March 2015. The buy now price is without roadworthy. Got it checked, I can also provide a RWC for extra $250. Any tests welcome, the car can be viewed in Sunshine West.
