Description
2007 Renaultsport Megane DCI 175 in
Ultra Red. This is a rare 4 door model and I have never seen one the same. The
car is in very good condition for its age and is mechanically excellent with no
issues that I am aware of. It drives fantastically and is suprisingly quick
considering it is a diesel, it is actually a second quicker from 50-70 than the
225 variant. It has only covered 67,650 miles (will rise slightly). MOT until
10/05/16. Full service history with a good number of receipts and just two
previous owners. The car has no modifications and no remap. Four matching
Michelin Pilot Sport 3’s (approx 5.5mm all round) and a fairly new spare included (6mm) to
save the day if you get a puncture.
The car has the Lux pack and Cup chassis option including:
Full leather interior with leather central armrestElectric folding wing mirrorsAuto levelling HID xenon lights with washers (vision pack)Cabasse Auditorium (rare option) with 6CD changer, MP3 compatibility and AUX cable fittedClimate control (aircon needs a re-gas)Automatic lights and wipersSelf-dimming rear view mirrorFactory lowered suspension (with fairly recent new front shock absorbers and springs, all genuine Renault parts)Anthracite alloys and mirror capsLarger front brake master cylinder (genuine Brembo discs and pads all round)TPMS deleteESP and TCS deactivation8 airbags (5* NCAP safety rating)
Minor issues:
There is a small area of paintwork damage by the driver’s door handle (pictured) and I think the door would benefit from a respray, which was done professionally when the car was quite new as someone had keyed the door quite badly (I was told by the previous owner). This was obviously not as good as the original paint, therefore it has suffered a bit of lacquer peel etc around the handle. There is a small scuff on the nearside front bumper, although this is hardly noticeable when looking at the car as a whole. There are the usual stone chips and very small trolly dents that can be expected from a car of this age, particularly on the rear flared arches (very common on these cars). But it still looks great when its polished up.The alloy wheels could do with a refurbishment. The door handles and mirror caps were professionally wrapped a few years ago so that they match, this has started to peel very slightly in some areas, although it still looks absolutely fine.
Overall this is an excellent car that has been fantastic to own and has never let me down over the three years I've had it. Reluctantly selling due to needing a more practical car for work. HPI clear. Excellent option for younger drivers as it’s a lower insurance group than the 225. Can also achieve 50+ mpg on a run so can be used for a daily commute without costing a fortune in fuel. Private registration not included in sale.
£4,299, cash on collection.
