Up for auction is an Original Tom McBurnie Daytona Spyder replica BODY KIT made to fit 68-82 Corvette donor cars. Daytona body comes with McBurnie name embossed inside the hood and under driver door.
The Daytona Spyder replica gained it's fame when it appeared in the Hottest Cop Show of 80's "Miami Vice" driven by Don Johnson aka Sonny Crockett.
Fer@ri executives were not pleased that one of their products was being represented on TV by a replica, so the Daytona was eventually destroyed on-screen and replaced with an Original Testarossa (newest model at the time).
