Description

British Racing Green with Sandstone Beige leather, this 2004 Rover 75 Connoisseur SE Tourer has automatic transmission and a 2.5 litre V6 petrol engine. MoT to 5th Feb 2015 (no advisories); tax to 31 July 2015 (which will be transferred to the new owner if you buy the car at the auction end - the rules change on 1st October); next service due March 2015; recent new alternator and cambelt (but no paperwork). In addition to the "standard" Connoisseur SE specification (electric windows, heated electrically adjustable front seats, heated electrically adjustable mirrors, cruise control, windscreen rain sensor, alarm/immobiliser, automatic central locking, air conditioning (but see below), rear parking sensors, etc), the car has the optional extras of electric sunroof, traction control, headlamp washers, powerfold mirrors, fully chromed radiator grille, long-load hatch and lidded storage in the rear load compartment, driver's side cup holder, wood steering wheel/gear knob/handbrake handle and full walnut-effect dash. The six-CD player is located in a lidded recess in the rear load compartment, not the glovebox (thereby freeing it up). All the electrics work as they should; the ONLY thing which does not work is the aircon - the condenser has a leak, but I have a brand-new condenser which will come with the car if I have not fitted it by the end of the auction. The interior is immaculate. The bodywork is sound - not a speck of rust or rot and apart from a tiny ding in the driver's door there are no dents or deep scratches - but inevitably there are a few minor blemishes to the paintwork. The 16" Forked alloy wheels are in good condition, with no kerbing and minimal marking, and are shod with fairly new 215/55 R16 93W Continental tyres in good condition (the spare is an unused steel space-saver). This is the fourth Connoisseur SE Tourer that I have owned, and is the most enjoyable to drive (the ride and handling are very good) and is the most comprehensively "loaded" one that I have ever seen. Although I know nothing of its history prior to my ownership, it clearly has been very well cherished and maintained. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an outstanding example of the marque. Inspection and test drive welcomed, and strongly recommended - you need to see and drive it to fully appreciate it! (Please note that the mileage will increase slightly as I use it once a week to keep it in good running order.)
