Welcome to my auction I am sadly now selling my Cherished Unique Bespoke Rover Sterling Saloon 2.5 V6 Auto the car was first registered on the 03/12/1997 1998 model, It has had just three previous owners (one a friend) and has covered just 53,360 warranted miles (Please note at 36,600 miles it had a Brand New Engine fitted by the Main Dealers costing £4300 bills to prove) so the car has covered just 16,760 miles on the New Engine
The car has Full Dealership Service History
4,500/10,000/21,600/28,400 miles and then serviced when the new engine was supplied 36,600 and one private service recently at 50,000 miles.
It is finished in Bolero red (quite rare) with light grey leather interior piped in black I have owned the car for just over nine years and she drives beautifully the engine (2.5 KV6 Quad Cam 24V) is silky smooth the Automatic Sports Gearbox also performs as it should
The car has electric everything Windows/Heated seats/Air con/Cruise control/Front and rear screens/Sunroof etc as listed above and is fitted with an excellent Clarion Stereo System with a CD Interchanger in the boot
The Battery is new the Tyres recent still as good as new Brakes good and the Exhaust system has a Stainless Steel Sports rear box
The Interior
The interior is in fabulous condition like new with Original Wilton Mats etc Burr Walnut Veneer and unlike the Coupe benefits by having split rear seats surprisingly useful but the Saloon retains a fresh look unlike the Fastback
The Exterior
The Front Grill has been removed and replaced with Aluminium Mesh and also colour coded Wing Vents have been fitted these have then had Chromed Stainless Steel Louvers added (German and expensive) also newer style side repeaters and Rover badges
The car has also been fitted with Colour coded Front Splitters and Rear side skirts/pods Rear Spoiler and Dummy roof aerial please see photos
Also fitted with Zenon Driving Lights/Performance re-usable Air Filter/Eco-Tec Valve (performance/economy aid) /Aero wiper blades/Mud flaps all round/Colour coded Tow Hitch with wiring (not connected) never used only fitted to prevent careless parking scratches and recently new Lambda sencors and ABS sencors
The car has King five spoke alloy wheels these are in excellent condition with Chromed wheel nuts Rover Badges and Spacers so standard size tyres and replacement costs but wider track and sportier look the wheels now filling the wheel arch
The car will be sold with a full MOT and a full tank of fuel and please note the personnel number plate is not included
In Summary
The car is in stunning condition and it is a one-off a unique car with a sporty exterior all the comforts and toys of a Sterling on the interior it has been maintained regardless of cost (many thousands spent) never abused very low miles and with just 16K on the new engine. This car always gets admired were ever it goes and was the flagship of the Rover 800 range 32,000 pounds when new and she still feels and smells like new. My pride and joy
