Description
This Rover P6B 3500 V8 was built in 1976, originally sold by Rowley Motors, Artarmon and first driven in 1977. Full NSW registration has just been renewed for the next twelve months. The paintwork was resprayed some time before I bought the vehicle and is two pack original Rover 'Paprika' and in great condition, The original box-pleat seats and the interior palette is buckskin. The paint colour was typical of bright colours of the mid 70's, however, not many P6B Rovers in Australia were painted this colour and is a real head turner.
Almost 40 years later, this car is still a lovely car to drive and it still has the power to match other cars on the open road. The front seat covers are bespoke and genuine sheep skin, made only a few years back, to match the rear covers. The interior is original with no tears or rips to the seats, roof lining or door cards. I have owned this car for the past 7 years and I just don't have the time to enjoy it as much as I would like, meaning it sits under a car cover in the shed. Both heads were reconditioned two years ago, the head gaskets replaced and all 8 cylinders have good oil pressure. All door window rubbers have been renewed. The vehicle comes with original log books and Leyland Service Passport and two sets of keys.
Minor work that needs to be done
There are some rust bubbles in the rear door and a spot on the roof and rear guard (both minor) - I have recently sourced a replacement door in near perfect condition which will go with the car.
There is absolutely no structural rust in the monocoque shell, door pillars, floor pan or boot.
The air-conditioning works but not cold and needs re-gassing.
No Paypal transaction accepted and winning bidder to pay cash/bank cheque or via direct debit banking.
