Description
Anyone interested in an old(ish)-school Saab?
This is an '87 Saab 900Turbo SPG (Special Performance Group). The SPG had special bodywork forthat vintage. These had 2.0L, 16-valve turbo engines and this one is a5-speed manual.Has about 148,000 miles; currently running quite wellbut has had some electrical issues in the past.Paint faded and peelingbut no active rust; seats are worn and some stitching has come loose;headliner is shot.Small bulls-eye crack in the windshield. Tires are fair and wheels have some corrosion.Sunroofworks but seems to intermittently leak in the rain.Has no radio at all- so you can better enjoy the whine of the Swedish turbo.Needs to goto a home with a car guy who will be patient and willing to deal withthe minor bugs that are sure to occasionally surface.Ideally, would go to a paint & body man who could do the work himself.
When really nice, these can go for 7-10K; how about $1500 for this one, with lots ofspare parts thrown in, and a promise to buy it back from you if you everhave the urge to part it out?
Call or text Jim at (618) 944-3050. Car is in southern IL - may be willing to deliver to the midwest.
