Description
For Sale is my Saab 9.3 aero registered to me and at my name and address. I have owned aeros before and this was bought as a third car for my wife an me whilst I waited to find the Jaguar XJ8 I have been looking for. I now have found the one I want and am picking it up immediately this week.
This aero is really excellent to drive with quick smooth acceleration, smooth gear changes both up and down. It has the uprated aero brakes which really are quite different to the standard Saab 9.3 brake. There is no wind noise from any of the windows or doors and it is very quiet to drive and on tick-over. It does not smoke or use oil or water. It starts first time every time hot or cold.
I recently serviced it and changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter (most never do this). It has a long MOT with no advisories. There is a stamped service history with 8 dealer stamps in it and receipts after that. It has a handbook and wallet etc to go with the service book.
All the electrics work on car including all 4 windows and the air conditioning. Importantly, this car does not have the really troublesome Secondary Air Injection system which was a nightmare on Saabs around this time. It also has two working remotes. Personally I would never buy a Saab with one remote as you are in serious trouble if you lose it or the remote itself starts to play up which they can often do. The reason this is important is that if one remote temporarily loses its code, it is very simple to reprogramme it from the other in the ignition. You cannot do this with one key and you are stuck.
The tyres are all excellent with lots of tread left on. The alloys are not immaculate but still very presentable for a car of this age. Similarly, the bodywork is not immaculate and does have its share of little dents etc and some small bits of rust in a couple of places. However none of this is major in any way or detracts from its appearance.
The interior is pretty good wit the leather seats looking good and only a bit of wear on the driver's bolster but not as much as you would normally expect for this age and mileage. The black coating on the handles and buttons on the fascia have some wear on them but again less than most have at this age. There are no Engine Management Lights showing on the dash. There are no issues with the heater blower motor which again is a very common fault on these cars and not particularly easy to fix. One chip in the windscreen is there which was not even mentioned on the MOT as completely on the passenger side.
Remote locking on drivers side occasionally plays up as do most Saabs but a couple of pulls up and down of the button sorts it.
I am happy for anybody to come and view the car and cannot see any reason why anybody would not find the car a delight to own and drive.
I would prefer cash on collection please. Thanks for looking.
Relisted immediately after somebody made an offer and then decided because it took me more than an hour to accept it that they would buy one elsewhere. Good look to the person they have just bought the car from!
