Saab 98 model 9-3S 5 speed manual turbo convertible
Worth $6600 ($84,000 new) according to Redbook
AMAZING BUY FOR SOMEONE WHO LOVES TINKERING WITH CARS - NO RESERVE!!!
This is a beautiful, fun, classy car, good power on highway speeds, nice glossy wood grain dash, has a full service history and has always been regularly serviced. It has the best fuel economy of any car I've driven (well over 600kms per fill - $60-80 depending on fuel prices) and has always been fed 98 premium fuel. Rego until Jan 2016.
Engine is (according to my mechanic) in good nick except that it has a power steering fluid leak that ideally should be attended to (otherwise just keep the reservoir topped up like I am).
The major price reduction is because of the following flaws:
*Power steering fluid leak (as already mentioned)
*Roof needs a repair ($30 pin and $40 hydraulic fluid top-up but then there's labour because you have to take the roof engine out to fix it)
*Roof has a few nicks covered by 100mph tape ($600 for a new one from the wreckers if you care)
*Air con doesn't work (but power windows and seat warmers work fine)
*Some cracks in the seat leather (but fairly new car seat covers)
*Ding on the back due to parking accident (can get it fixed for an extra $300)
*Alarm needs to be serviced, electric key won't work until it is
*Rear left window needs manual help if put all the way down
*Car stereo needs to be wired back in as I swapped it out for an older one
This is why I'm not a used car salesman lol. I think that's everything that's wrong with it. That's why I'm offering it so cheap. Have a look around used car dealerships, cars for sale on the side of the road, even the auctions, you won't find a deal as good as this! And if you can repair it yourself, all the better! (& most people won't be honest about what's wrong with it, either!)
PRE-SALE INSPECTIONS HIGHLY WELCOME AND RECOMMENDED.
