1972 Saab Sonett

This is an excellent low mileage car that iv'e owned for two years while driving it twice a month to work - which is a 35 mile highway drive. This sonett runs great - with high oil pressure. Before I owned this sonett it was owned by a friend who kept it in a clean garage for the past 25 years. I've had a top level paint job put on by fiberglass experts. Although the body looked crack free to me the paint and body shop went through it with a professional eye and got any small corner cracks that may have existed and professionally fiber glassed them. The paint on it was fairly descent when I acquired it but I wanted the body and paint to be EXCELLENT and it now is. Please look at the pictures and see if you don't agree.
This sonett was sold to me as rust free but I found rust under the battery (since fixed) and when the body shop aggressively sanded the bottom of the door sills -- they sanded through in the centers (since fixed).
The car is now rust free in theory (please look at the pictures).
This car is the last year the sonett's had the small bumpers. These bumpers added 70 lbs of weight and to me the small bumpers looked a whole lot better.
The seats are newly upholstered to as close to original as possible with material from SMS auto fabrics.
Two barrel intake with new two barrel weber carburetor.
New brake pads - seals - and hoses.
New hydraulics for clutch cylinders.
New belt and all new water hoses.
New tires.
New speedometer cable with newly rebuilt speedometer, odometer.
New classic radio.
New exhaust from saab expert Jack Lawrence at motor sport service.
New axle straps.
New shock absorbers
The person before me put in a oil pressure gauge - that is now new. Sonetts original only had oil pressure lights.
The fog lights have not been re-hooked up since it was painted. Everything else works.
There is no reserve price or buy it now.
