Up for sale today is my beloved Cupra R 20V Turbo. I have owned the car since the begining of the year and have loved every minute of it. The car has had 3 previous owners, myself being the 4th. The car prior to the last answer was owned by a business women who used the car travelling up and down the motorway from London to Portsmouth (hence the miles). With this being said the car has a full service history up until July of 2013 and is expecting its next dealer service in July of this year.
If your reading this advert then you probably have done your research about the Cupra R's so I'm not going to bore you with the standard details. This car has the BAM engine which as standard comes with 225BHP.
The car has had a few subtle modifications and OEM parts replaced recently by myself:
- Interactive multimedia system in place of the standard stero; includes: Bluetooth/ GPS/ System clocks/ DVD Player/ TV/ Radio/ Apple connectivity
- Brand new battery when I bought the car
- Brand new brake pads all round
- Re-conditioned Brembo brake calipers
- Coil packs replaced
- Cat-back (resonated) Cobra exhaust system
- Turbo intake pipe replaced with a SFS version
- Bailey DV30 Re-circ valve
- Fully adjustable Pro-sport coilovers (front and back) currently set on their lowest setting (Car is around 3 inches off the ground)
- Backlit Turbo boost guage mounted on dash
- 2 new front tyres, rear tyres have a lot of life left in them
- Brand new piper cross intake system with attatched MAF
- Door seals issue has been looked at aswell
- Re-conditioned Turbo
- Turbo to Manifold and Turbo to downpipe gaskets have also been replaced
- The engine has also been decarbonized (Terracleaned) as per wheeler dealer's Ed did on the show, this has improved MPG, Throttle response and also the emmisions
- If desired the car is ready for a Stage 1 Remap then also able to go straight up to the Stage 2 Remap due to its current modifications
- Full height adjustable HID Xenon headlight kit (MOT legal) give off a very bright blue/white light
- Rear wiper arm and blade upgrade to Fabia VRS
- Built in Cat 1 Alarm system
- Spare key
- Car is ready to drive away, will be valeted before collection
*Edit: Forgot to mention:
- Timing belt was changed on 9/7/2009 at 69224, there is no receipt for this but has a main dealer stamp and details in service history, I presume water pump was changed at same time
- Gearbox was fully rebuilt on 16/10/2007 at a total cost of: £858.84 (receipt to prove)*
As mentioned above the car has just passed it's MOT (16th June) and now has another 12 months before it's next one.
As with any 10 year old car there are a few points I'd like to mention:
- Slight chip in the front bonnet (around the size of a 20p) which has been covered up with some black paint
- Very slight indent in the rear driverside passenger door (invisble to the eye unless looked at from the back>front)
- Internal rear boot guard slightly scratched from various household uses
- A few light scratches around the car but nothing of concern
- 1 of the parcel shelf strings is working, the other just dangles around
- Full sized alloy spare wheel but has minimal tread on it
The interior of the car is free from any scratches/ tears/ marks and has never been smoked in.
The car pulls in all 6 gears with no issues, nothing mechanically wrong with the car and when something has worn it has been replaced immediately.
I have no problem with you test-driving as long as your insurance covers you. Feel free to do any HPI / Accident/ Insurance checks, again the reg is: KV04 UNP, also have no issue with yourself bringing a mechanic to have a look around the car
I will warn you now, this car is very fast and takes no mercy.
I am located in the PO7 area (Waterlooville, Hants) and the car when sold will purely be cash on collection, will provide a folder filled with the servicing receipts/ dealer history/ service history
