Description
1965 Shelby Cobra Superformance MKIII 20th Anniversary Edition. Car #19 of 20 produced.
After rolling off the trailer from being delivered new from Superformance, my father drove it 40 feet and hit a tree. The frame and engine compartment are fine, but the body took a beating and broke the left front suspension arm and bent the wheel. Other damage includes cracked windshield, bent steering wheel / column, broken rear view mirror, and other minor issues.
My father was elderly and passed away from his injuries. I am his son and we just want to sell the car. The total cost for the car was more than $130,000. We are offering it at $65,000. A tremendous deal for a car enthusiast that likes to repair cars. The car is located in Irvine, CA. I highly recommend you come see the car before buying.
Here is the Superformance website with some pictures of the Anniversary edition. face="Arial" size="4">
The engine is the Corvette Z06, supercharged LT4 6.2L SC. The most powerful engine ever offered in a regular-production Chevrolet. Details below.
Description of the Engine:
SUPERCHARGED POWER FROM THE C7 CORVETTE Z06!
As the heart of the Corvette Z06, the supercharged LT4 6.2L SC
is the most powerful engine ever offered in a regular-production
Chevrolet. It features a more-efficient, more-compact 1.7L Eaton
R1740 TVS supercharger, which spins at up to 20,000 rpm.
That’s enough to generate more than 9 pounds of boost and help
produce 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. The LT4 is
based on the same Gen V Small-Block architecture as the LT1
engine, with several unique features designed to support its
higher output and the greater cylinder pressures created by
forced induction. They include Rotocast A356T6 aluminum
cylinder heads that are stronger and handle heat better than
conventional castings, lightweight titanium intake valves and
stronger forged aluminum pistons.
