2002 SMART CITY PASSION (Midlands - Rebuilt Engine)

Firstly - "Thank you" for looking at this listing.
If you're new to the world of Smart cars then it may be worth pointing out a few things that you may not know.
The Fortwo comes in three trim levels -
Pure - this has a low powered engine, steel wheels with trims, a plastic steering wheel, a laminated roof and light grey interior fabric that stains as soon a you look at it!
Passion - this is often described as "top of the range" and has alloy wheels, glass roof, leather steering wheel, decent grey patterned interior fabric and fog lights.
Pulse - this is the sporty version often with wider alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, glass roof and nice blue fabrics inside.
They only come in Silver or Black - based on the metal part of the car as all the plastic panels can be swapped for a change of look.
Early models were 600cc before they were increased to 700cc in 2003 - all models are turbocharged.
They are often describes as "Automatic" but you need to be careful here - they have a 6 speed gearbox and clutch like many manual cars - it's just that there's no clutch pedal as this is operated automatically.
They are all "tiptronic" ie you push the gearstick forwards to go up a gear and back to go down but some also have a full auto mode which is recognised by a button on the side of the gearknob.
Some of the later 700cc models also have the option of F1 style paddle shift on the steering wheel.
As with any car, there are known faults and weaknesses, the biggest of which is exhaust valves that burn out around the 60,000 mile mark requiring a significant amount of work to put right.
As you've probably guessed by now, I am a Smart car enthusiast and spend most of my spare time fixing these icons of the motoring world!!
So - let's run through the main points on the car that I have for sale
This is a 600cc Passion with an MOT till June 2016
Timing chain kit was fitted at Smart Tecnic in September 2013 (57074 miles)
Engine has just been rebuilt by me and has the following new parts -
Big ends and big end cap bolts
Piston rings
Exhaust valves x 3
Valve stem seals x 6
Cylinder head gasket
Cylinder head bolts
Sump
Exhaust manifold and exhaust manifold studs and nuts
Thermostat
Crankcase breather
Spark plugs x 6
Oil filter and oil
Brand new exhaust with catalytic converter
ABS reluctor rings on rear driveshafts.
Two new front tyres.
This car has the full automatic option on the gearbox and is only £30 a year to Tax.
There's a 6 CD changer fitted under the passenger seat which works well.
The standard speakers have been binned for slightly better ones fitted in the optional bass bins.
Overall - this is quite a tidy little car and has the optional luggage divided to keep prying eyes away from your stuff in the back and genuine Smart mats.
You don't see many of these with the emergency kit under the passenger footwell - this one has it! - ie towing eye, pump, tyre seal and valve extractor.
I have the V5 showing 4 previous owners.
It comes with 2 freshly coded working keys and lots of receipts, handbooks etc.
