Description
Serial number, verified on frame near passenger side under hood, R4320
Plate number under hood above wheel well reads: RQ3399
289 Engine with Paxton Supercharger is 290 HP
Compression is 9.0:1, 303 foot-pounds of torque
Factory specs of 0-60 in 6.3 seconds, top speed rated about 158 mph.
94,392 miles on odometer
Runs solid, handles great.
Treated this as a daily driver, would drive it weekly but over the last four years it has barely seen the road and should be sold so she can see the road more.
Once the seats are upholstered the car is ready for driving, although the speedometer cable should be done soon for proper mileage and speed.
Recently had carpeting work done, not professionally done work, but looks fresh and clean.
Hog troughs appear in good shape.Appears previous owner cleaned them out and oiled them to keep from rusting out.
Car was garage stored during long winters here and did not see salt or snow ever.
Includes original registration in frame, and a very useful laminated chart for maintenance such as timings, proper oil, settings for spark.
Of note is that the brake calipers were ground down a bit to fit 14 inch Cragar rims on properly.Nothing wrong, they are huge steel Calipers and structurally sound.
Paint is considered rated as good.
Chrome is nice, but front center bumper could use a re-chrome.
Headliner is solid and good with only a few imperfections.
Gauges all work except clock.
Spare tire appears well used.
Recent work done:
Tires new, have less than 50 miles on them.
Turner front brake kit about 1,000 miles ago.
Front seats structurally repaired.
Power steering pump rebuilt.
Replaced voltage regulator/generator with rebuilt alternator from Ford Escort, works great.
Carburetor rebuilt and cleaned thoroughly.
Valve cover gaskets both replaced.
Coolant flush and fill.
Oil change.
Hub caps have been repainted in proper color scheme, original steel rims.
Needs:
This list is everything I believe to be wrong with the vehicle, no matter how small.
Front seats are bare, must be upholstered, seats metal repaired solid, but still needs upholstery work done.
New spring for automatic throttle. Will stick occasionally based on whether or how recent was driven.
Pin for read passenger slot window, doesn't stay closed 100% without it, but does not rattle.
Speedometer cable.Broke and had to be cut out about 40 miles ago.Cable can be ordered.
Timing checked, under full load will occasionally "dieseling" noise from flooding.Rarely notice, only under high acceleration.
Door seals at top were replaced by previous owner with generic material. Will leak in rain or while washing car if care is not taken.
Chip/tear in paint near drivers side mirror.
Rear view mirror is loose and will slowly point down.
Faint and small dark imperfections scattered over paint, only noticeable when staring close such as during washing.
