Description
Talk about rare and unique! Not many of these left!
289 Studebaker V8 4bbl engine and Automatic transmission. Spark plugs were pulled, Marvel Mystery Oil added to cylinders
I have not tried to start. Probably will need rebuilding.
Floors are rusty and will need to be replaced. Rockers are rusty. Trunk lid is rusty.
Doors, Fenders, and hood has bondo.
This car was restored back in the 80's or 90's, but the rust gremlins have come back to haunt this treasure, and a lot of work done to put her back on the road. Parts are available!
I personally would not restore this car, it is much better used as a parts car to supplement another Studebaker to restore.
I bought this one for all the factory or dealer added options:
4 barrel carburetor and intake
Air Conditioning with all bracketry and drop below the dash unit
Power Steering (complete setup)
Hydroboost Brakes
Factory in dash Tachometer
Front bucket Seats with console (vinyl seat covers in good enough condition for a "driver")
and it just has a cool looking dash board and steering wheel setup.
In another auction I have a 1957 Studebaker Provincial Wagon - My plan was to take all the "Options" and "Cool" parts off of this car to be used in the "Hot Rodding" of the wagon, but I am loosing my storage and garage facility, so both must be sold.
90% of chrome and stainless trim are present, as well as most of the interior and original radio! All 4 wheels roll, and all 4 tires are holding air. Car will need to be towed or trailered.
The Studebaker club is very active and a great resource for parts!
This Hawk was last registered in the mid 90's and has a clear and signed Texas title, but it is not in my name.
Unfortunately it has to go because I am loosing my storage garage.
No Reserve Auction - Bid to win!
I will be happy to answer any questions and take pictures of any specific areas.
$500 deposit by paypal due within 24 hours of auction close.
Car must be fully paid for before pickup, and be picked up within 7 days of auction close.
What you see is what you get. There are a lot of small trim items that are included, but I cannot guarantee every piece of everything is there.
