Description
I have a 1963 Studebaker GT Hawk for sale. I would call it an unmolested survivor car. Original paint and interior. They only made about 4500 of these in 1963. How many were 4 SPEED cars? Who knows? Maybe 10%? How many are left? It’s rare and it’s cool. It’s also a great driving car. The engine is a non matching Studebaker 289 with less than 30,000 miles. 50 lbs oil pressure. It’s healthy. The four speed shifts great. Clutch feels like it’s got a lot of life left and functions well. This Hawk also has front disc brakes and a 3.73 Twin Traction Positrac rear end. It really moves. The paint is original and I polished away 50 years of oxidation. The gold shines but it’s 55 years old and has many imperfections. Repaint? I wouldn’t. You may want to. The body is straight and solid. No rust through just surface stuff. Plenty of patina and draws a crowd wherever it goes.
Working gauges. Oil, speedo, amps. Non working. Temp and fuel.
Tires have great tread. Power brakes are good. Power steering works well. Horn works. Interior light works. Radio makes noise. Not sure if antenna is connected.
Windshield has a crack but a replacement is included. Crack doesn’t interfere with view. Been driving it everywhere the past month. Lots of fun. Enjoy it daily and improve it as you go.
