Description
1953 Studebaker Starliner. Most
desirable classic collector car due to the near perfect styling design and very
limit built. This model was only produced in late 53 and early 54, therefore not
many are left on the roads today. It was said to be the new American car with
the European look. Graced as being the most beautiful and forward-looking
design its time. This car has been tubbed and the front of the roof has been
chopped 1.5". Turbo mufflers exhaust out the side and sound terrific. The
front springs, shocks, rear drum brakes and ball joints are like new. Front
clip out of a 1970 Nova SS, Engine: 1970, 350 LT1 4 bolt Main, Transmission:
1970 Turbo 350 with a 3500 high stall torque convertor with built-in HD shift
kit with Lokar shifter, Rear End: Ford 8" with positrac with 3.80.1 gear
ratio which has been narrowed. Less than 2000 kms on drive train. All
professionally built by Precision Performance in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Ceramic
coated heavy duty exhaust headers, new aluminum crossflow radiator (big block),
power Wildwood front disc brakes, new 16 gallon aluminum fuel cell. Wheels are
Weld Rod Lite chrome. Rear tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman 29x15.50-15LT
and front tires are 205/14. Tires have less than 2000 kms. The steering wheel
is custom Mahogany and Leather with a working horn. The dash is custom fabricated brass. It
has a Chevy steering column with tilt control. The seats are Trans Am manual
bucket with seat belts. The steering is tight and very responsive. The engine
always starts right up and is very reliable. The exterior is a bright Carmel
Metallic paint. This head turner of a ride - runs strong and drives straight
down the road. This car is real fun to drive and people are always waving and
doing "thumbs up". On the city streets or on the strip, you will
enjoy this Studebaker. The reserve price is a fraction of what has gone into
putting this together. Issues: The paint is about 15 years old and has a few
knicks and blemishes. The driver side door window has a crack. The door keys
have disappeared over the years and would have to be changed or rekeyed. This
is your truly rare opportunity to own a great car at a bargain price.
