Description
If you are looking at this auction on purpose, the BRZ needs no introduction. This is an amazing driving machine. Low COG, aided by low slung engine and aluminum hood, results in superb road holding characteristics in turns.
This is a rare clear title vehicle with minimal wear. Car had a clean history when I bought it and I haven't done anything (yet) to impair that. You will see a lot of rebuilt and salvage title Subies for sale. This is your opportunity to own a nice example with the beautiful to Satin White Pearl paint and all the factory options.
I am the 2nd owner. Clean car, non-smoker. The original owner apparently had a dog, so there is some pet hair lingering in the carpet, but our dogs have not had the pleasure of riding in the BRZ.
This has been my daily driver for the last year, so it isn't perfectfull disclosure:
There are a couple of stone chips that that I have filled to prevent the rust from spreadingwith Glacier Whiteand my car is White Satin PearlOops! Why in the world would Subaru have two different varieties of white paint in the same model year, I ask you?
The original owner apparently kissed something with the front end. I, the observant one, didn't even notice this until I went to wash and wax the car this weekend. Nothing is broken or bent, but if you looks closely, there are some unsightly hairline cracks in the fascia paint and it is flaking slightly in one tight corner (pic included). If you care about this kind of thing, you can pick up an OE part on the web for $300 and change.
There is a tiny crack in the windscreen. It is not in the line of sight and isn't spreading, so I've been able to ignore it successfully.
The interior is very clean, except for a spot of spray paint that the previous owner applied for unknown reasons. Let's face it, some people are clumsy.
One tire took a screw and was plugged by the dealer. Hasn't leaked any air in almost a year, so, not really an issue.
The car is bone stock except for a set of winter tires and wheels I purchased last Fall. Goodyear Ultragrip Winter tires with some alloy aftermarket rims. Don't let anyone mislead youRWD cars are a blast in winter. The American car buying public has been brainwashed into thinking that AWD vehicles are necessary in winter. Hogwash. What you need to be able to do in winter is steer and stop. AWD/4WD does nothing for you in that sense. Sure, you get some more forward motion grip with 4WD, but lets face it; most people never need that extra grip. As for FWDpleaseyou get a couple of percent extra weight over the drive wheels and lousy handling in the bargain.
You would be forgiven for thinking that such a small car is uncomfortable on long drives. Not so! These seats are superb. Firm and supportive. I've done 8hrs of driving in one day and arrived no worse for the wear.
I have service records, but there aren't many. The car did have a faulty wiring harness, which was causing odd behavior, but that was fixed under warranty and the car has been perfect for the last 10k miles.
Most people will want to know why I'm selling such a fabulous car. In a word, reality. I was counting on my daughter getting that full ride scholarship to college. That's apparently not happening, so rather than going to Vegas to try to win a year of tuition, I figured selling the BRZ was a safer bet.
