Description
Hello folks! Up for sale is a 2004 Subaru Forester 2.5l XT with a 5spd Manual Transmission.
Has been sitting for around 3 years and definitely needs some TLC. Has some rust and bumps and bruises. Starts right up with a full charge but definitely needs a new battery and some other things to be road ready. This car was a blast to drive.
5spd Manual transmission
173k miles
Full engine rebuild by Broken Boxer(local Subaru mechanics) Rebuild done around 140k I think-You can see my other thread on this forum for that whole story
COBB SS Catback Exhaust w/XL hangers(have the original as well)
COBB Accessport V3-Sub002 (currently married to this vehicle)
Short ram air filter(don't have the original airbox or I would've put it back on)
08 OEM Sport Tails(originals included)
Alpine AMP
Alpine CD Player with Sirius Hookup
All weather floor mats and cargo mat
2 sets of wheels (OEM that I plastidipped black and some steelies)- Tires are no good
Has extended center armrest and cupholders in back
Cargo Nets Full and a full size spare
I was driving one day and she started losing acceleration and bogging down. Almost as if it was being choked out. I am not a mechanic besides basic things so anything past brakes and oil is out of my wheelhouse. I thought it may be a clogged cat. I had replaced the rear cat with an aftermarket one but didn't do the other ones.
Known problems:
Rusted Brake line from sitting-rear passenger
Exhaust leak(I think from the up-pipe)
I'm sure there are other things as well.
Here is a video taken today of it running:
