Description
Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type UK in Sonic Blue338bhp & 372lb/ft Andy Forrest remap using ECUTEK with switchable mapping from inside the car with Sport, Sport# and Intelligent modes. ECUTEK is the same as Prodrive use for the various special editions (including the Impreza 330s) so is proven and guaranteed. Should you wish to get the car remapped again for further upgrades this will be cheaper as the initial licence is the expensive part! Also RACEROM 'downshift blip' when in Sport# mode which makes for easier gear changes when 'pressing on'! Other features can be enabled by any ECUTEK dealer such as full throttle shifts and launch control but as I'm not 12 years old I didn't bother with these options. . .
Team Dynamics 18" alloys with excellent condition asymmetric Falken tyres all round
Full service history (mainly Subaru)
Engine rebuilt and upgraded December 2013 - over £7500 spent on engine rebuild (receipt to prove!) This was due to the very common 'ringland' failure with these cars.
This was rectified and the ECU had the revised Subaru mapping to eliminate further issues. The engine now has forged pistons etc. to make it much stronger than standard. If you are looking at one of these cars which has no evidence of a rebuild then make sure you budget for one! The car has covered around six thousand miles since the rebuild with no engine issues
K&N 57i induction kit
Free flow 'Wunoff' stainless back box (not loud as I hate loud Subarus, just slighty more of that flat four Boxer sound!)
Litchfield handling kit including fast road geometry and a Whiteline rear anti roll bar with adjustable drop links and Whiteline front strut brace. I've also installed adjustable Whiteline front drop links as the standard ones were knocking ever so slightly (they all do)
Recent front disks and pads and full brake service (the ones in the pictures were rusty due to the car sat for a month as I broke my arm!)
Rear light red tints to remove that Ikea look
All usual refinements such as half leather / alcantara interior, Driver controlled centre diff (DCCD), Genuine Subaru overmats, Xenon headlamps, Folding mirrors etc etc. Interior is in excellent condition with only a few minor marks to door cards if being hyper critical. Drivers seat has genuine Subaru seatcover to keep it clean and reduce wear to bolster/squab.
Paint is good although it has stone chips on the leading edge of the rear wings / rear doors as they all do, There is some stone guard sheeting there but it isn't big enough. Minor chips on the bonnet but otherwise the paint is in good condition and polishes up nicely. Important to remember this is a high performance car so stone chips are inevitable. This is by far the best colour to have one of these cars in and the black wheels work well I think.
I bought an 1 year aftermarket warranty when I purchased the car and this can be transferred to the new owner (once the new owner pays a small administration payment). I've already used the warranty once to get an electronic valve (TGV valve) replaced which was over £800 in parts and labour so well worth having.
The reason for selling is simple - I had 6 cars and I want to go down to 1~2 so I'm selling up!
Overall a better spec'd car than an Impreza 330s but without the 17k asking price! Viewings/inspections are welcome.
The radio head unit pictured has been replaced with the standard Subaru 6 disc head unit (with steering wheel controls).
Any questions please ask via eBay as I'm hard to get on the phone due to my job and where I live.
I can arrange delivery at a cost TBA and upon receipt of cleared funds.
Genuine car, genuine seller. The car may be a little more expensive than some on here but it will be better mechanically than most.
I've been messed around previously so I expect the winner of the auction to make contact and pay a deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending. Usual disclaimers apply, you bid to buy not to them come and haggle.
Reasonable offers considered but preferably these would be made in person after a viewing as otherwise they are meaningless. Derisory offers automatically declined.
Payment in cash on collection or by bank transfer prior to collection.
