Used as a second car by previous owner ( a work colleague) from 2002 to 2013 when I bought it.
Since owning I have had no issues bar a replacement water hose. Never misses a beat and pulls like a train in every gear.
The only reason I am sadly selling is that the mileage I now do with my job prohibits keeping this Classic as an every day car, I have bought an 06 WRX as a result.
In November I needed a windscreen fitted, however the previous screen had been poorly sealed causing rust. This has been professionally and comprehensively repaired by Bowron Motorcare in Felden, Herts at a cost of over £1000.00, additionally I replaced the roof trims, aerial and all clips with genuine Subaru parts from Adams garage in Aylesbury at over £300.00. The whole roof was also re-sprayed during the repair.
To return the car to as new condition:
The wheels would benefit from a re-furb
The rear arches show signs of bubbling with some surface rust
Since the screen repair there is a glitch with the door lock. This just requires you to press the door lock after entering the car, otherwise it keeps unlocking and locking itself
Otherwise minor stone chips in exposed areas
Car will be SORN as unable to use no claims from previous insurance without
