Description

Regrettable sale of my 1998 Subaru legacy GT Twin Turbo BH5 Revision A The car is a Japanese import and was imported into the country in 2010 it was sold to a couple on their sixties who lived in the countryside in Lincolnshire who owned it for five years and had the car fastidiously maintained to a very high standard. I have all the full UK service history. I also have all previous mots a copy of the export certificate from japan and a translated owners manual worth £50.
This legacy benefits from an 4 speed automatic transmission with POWER mode and has Subaru's brilliant VDC stability program which has a 65 35 split for power and torque so most power goes to rear wheels but still has the superb four wheel drive and VDC program to keep you safe and on the road in all weather conditions.
The engine is Subaru's famous flat four boxer EJ20 engine except it has a 2 stage twin turbo set up from factory. One turbo kicks in from low rpm to around 4750 rpm and then from then the second turbo kicks. Car has 11 months MOT and is only £20 a month road tax. Has currently showing 125800 miles however when the car came into the country it had 89 thousand kms Api impreza converted the car to run mph on import so it changes to around 89 thousand miles. There is still the speed limiter on this car which doesn't cost much to take off.
This engine standard produces 265bhp from factory. Since import into the country its only ever been run on shell vpower/vmax nitro plus.
Car has a custom Janspeed cat back stainless steel exhaust system, alloy strut brace, I have fitted twin piston forge dump valve £200, a cosworth panel filter at £40, M-Tec gold edition grooved and drilled brake discs with mintex fast road pads at £300. Brand new 13x7 Japanese style number plates which are legal, LED rear number plate lights, Very rare Buddy Club racing oil filler cap, sti logod stainless steel battery clamp and fuse box cover, a set of extremely rare lightweight 17 inch wed sport Jap racing wheels with good tyre tread worth on their own about £500 the way they are. Full legacy GTB bodykit. Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser with receipt and certificate I also have two keys and two alarm fobs.
Power output I would say the car is running 280bhp or there abouts.
I have owned a good few jap import cars before and this is one of the best cars I've ever had.
Car has factory HID headlights, Leather Momo steering wheel leather gear knob and leather handbrake handle, electric adjustable and folding mirrors, electric adjustable drivers seat, built in dog guard and load cover, tinted windows, electric double sunroof, Abs, original thick Japanese logo carpeted car mats, digital climate control needs a new adjuster knob and cd player needs a FM convertor and sometimes doesn't take the cd straight away. Electric sunroof works but the front cover seems a bit loose.
Please don't expect a show room condition car, underneath the car is very clean and the body work is in excellent condition for AGE, there a few age related marks with no rust at all.

Car occasionally brings on engine check light and then goes off after a couple of miles this is only under full boost it has happened to me twice and ive spoke to a few reputable import garages who say it is down to the exhaust being aftermarket. A remap would take this off.
This car is not for the faint hearted and is very quick there will be NO test drives of this car i will be the one doing the driving and will happily take anybody out as a passenger.
Reason for sale is my wife will be doing her test soon and I need a smaller car.

Audi tdi, VW tdi, seat tdi, small reliable hatchback

No warranty with car it is sold as seen
