Description

Note (Ebay only has a template for 2000 onwards but this is actually a late 99 model..same thing)
The good
2.5L AWD automatic Heritage modelLeather seatsTinted windows (not cheap tint)Rare side impact airbags in the front seats (4 airbags total not the usual 2)ABSCruise controlClimate control (good cold air con)New Kenwood CD, USB MP3, Bluetooth/hands free radio with remoteRemote Central lockingSprintgas LPG injection (only around 2 years old and works great the injection setup doesn’t backfire or cause power loss on petrol or make it hard to start etc it just works seamlessly.. using the petrol + gas tanks gets well over 1100km between fills. Was installed neatly, it doesn't have any dodgy wiring etc and has been 100% reliableTowbarRecent new radiator, CV shafts, wheels bearing, Timing belt, and both head gaskets + head bolts replaced 40,000km ago (don’t buy a Subaru 2.5L of this era that hasn’t had its head gaskets changed they all fail at some point and cost a lot of money to fix.I have some spare parts if wanted including: A complete working transmission, pair of low km front liberty B4 struts, starter motor, alternator, a spare dead engine (good for some parts), a new wheel bearing kit, some brake pads, wiper assembly, other bits, take only what you want with the car..Been garaged at least since we have owned it so the paint isn’t faded or peeling.Non - smoker carVery comfortable/safe and easy to drive carRegularly serviced, engine doesn’t have any sludge or carbon etc (partly due to the LPG) has all ways run clean coolant etc.
The bad
Has done 322,000km’s (The engine was replaced about 2 years ago and has less km’s on it than the car and runs smooth and quiet)Was/is a Repairable write-off from the 2007 Newcastle floods, it only suffered wet carpet but at the time the insurance companies wrote them all off. All the fluids got replaced and it passed an RTA inspection and a blue slip and was then registered. We have since had it for 7 years and 160,000kms with no water related dramas so it is safe to say the water didn’t cause any long term problems. It will forever carry the repairable write off title but unlike most with that title it hasn’t been in a crash.Rego due 5th JulyWill need tires for rego (middle is ok but the outside edges are too low)Scratches next to windscreen from the usual worn Subaru windscreen wiper bushes (the wipers have been fixed and I’ll touch the scratches up)Numerous marks/scratches on front bumper (The plastic bit only the panels around it are fine)Other marks and scratches external and internal, boot lining is a bit ruff/dirty (probably $20 from a wrecker) see photos or come have a look
Car is at Rutherford area but I can also drive it to work (Warners bay)
