1995 Subaru Svx

Are you looking for in SVX (Subaru vehicle experimental)? Look no further,
because this is one of the best ORIGINALS I've come across. If you have never
seen one, you are not alone. There were six times more Subaru outback's made in
2016 in the US then during the entire production run of this rare car from 1992
to 1997.
Yes, it's a quirky weird Subaru, which is saying a lot since Subaru makes a lot
of quirky, weird cars. Either you love this thing or you simply cannot
understand it in my opinion, it is a masterpiece of design by Giorgetto
Giugiaro, designer of the Lotus Esprit, DeLorean DMC 12, De Tomaso Mangusta, and
a whole bunch of other stuff. Seriously, he's a true artist in the world of
industrial design.
You'll notice it everywhere in the design from the weird half windows that curve
up into the roof to the fog lights integrated into the same lighting bar that
also contains the headlights. It's just a delight if you're into design details.
This one also comes in a very traditional and very beautiful Subaru Laguna blue
and brand new STI wheels that are perfect with the speed rated Kumho tires that
are like new (80%). Other than the wheels it is all completely original down to
the stereo cassette and CD and working automatic antenna.
Mechanically, the car is in tip-top shape, especially given the age. It runs and drives fantastic.
There are no codes, check engine lights etc. it does not smoke leak or drip
anything. It has not never been racist or abused and always adult owned.
Everything on the car works including the air-conditioning cruise control and
factory alarm. Still has the stock stereo and I use a cassette adapter for my
iPod. The seats and carpet are in immaculate condition with original like new
original floor mats. The classic Laguna blue paint is very good, much better
than the mileage would indicate. It has spent the majority of it's life in the
garage. People stop me all the time over this car, it's a real hit with other
Subaru owners and everyone is amazed at the "time capsule" effect of the car. I
looked for years for an SVX in this condition and this is one of the best I've
seen. Because it is a fairly unknown car, it did not sell well and finding one
in good condition is exceptionally difficult. Only 14,257 sold in United States
and only 24,379 produced worldwide. In fact Subaru lost $3000 on every SVX made
in their bid to outclass their rivals at that time. The SVX cost more than the
Corvette when new.
This car has 170,000 miles but runs and drives like it has 30,000 miles on it.
It was only before me by a certified Subaru mechanic who spared no expense
keeping the car in perfect condition. This car was his baby and has been
maintained to remain in top running condition. All maintenance is up to date and
the car needs nothing. Timing belt and water pump will replace three years ago
at 150 K and the transmission fluid and filter or changed at the same time.
Most recently the car was given new NGK iridium spark plugs and air filter. It
has a fresh oil Mobile one oil change and has only had four synthetic oil change
regularly for most of it's life. It also has brand new hood shocks. The H - si

produces 238 hp and 228 foot pounds of torque. It has a super low drag .29
coefficient, and is extremely aerodynamic. It also has a speed sensing wipers
that increase speed as the vehicle speed increases.it drives like a dream and is
very comfortable. It will reach "unholy highway speeds and quote of 150 mph+
(electronic governor kicks in at 154 mph speedometer tops out at 160). While it
has never been racist I can attest that it will effortlessly do 140+ miles per
hour if you have need for a bit of adrenaline. Other than the one time to "see
what she can do" The car has been driven look like it was owned by a grandma
(and it shows). If adventure and adrenaline is in your universe, then this is
your starship. Spring break and road trip ready.
This car was never sold with a manual transmission, which ruins the fun a bit
for some and perfect for others, but is more than benefiting it's role as a GT
cruiser (Gen- Xers will remember this car as an option on the vintage video game
Gran Turismo). Put this car on the highway and the miles just meltaway it is
just so comfortable and easy to drive it one auto industry's club car of the
year" engineering award in 1996 for reliability and best long-distance driving.
If you do want to manual transmission, the six speed from a Subaru STI is a
bolt on replacement including the panel box. It was on my list of to do items but
I'm simply out of time and out of space for cars it just sits most of the time
it needs a new home with someone willing to stretch its legs. Maybe that is you!
I purchased the car with the intent of road racing it if you ever want to Own a classic that can be driven daily or Sundays (as it appreciates) this is your chance. It would be an awesome tuner or tourer. It would be a great car to road
race, such as SCCA road racing. It is reliable enough to be driven the 7+ hours to and from the race and
then be driven home after the high speed race.

needed to transfer the title. I'm open to negotiation but I can't give the car
away. There maybe some cheaper, but not this clean pretty or well-maintained.
