Description
Bad points
High Km. Lots of small dings in the body. The paint has scratches & some chips. A good cut & polish would go a long way to fixing the paint. The interior is a little rough, the vinyl is coming of the door cards in places, the carpet is a little grubby, drivers seat has a pretty large tear, the tint is coming off the drivers side window. A few scratches on the instrument cluster, & I think a bulb is blown in there as its not all that bright. The air conditioning is not working & it hasn't since I've owned the car, but it looks like everythings there. It has a clunk in the front end, I dunno if its a shock on the way out or what but I doubt its too major. The fuel gauge does not work, I just fill it up every 400km or so. The power steering pump makes some noise sometimes but it works fine. I think it's aerating the oil sometimes but I haven't worked out why? All in all given the age of the car it still looks reasonable & is fairly good mechanically
Good points
NSW rego ran out on the 8/5/15
4 near new tyres cost me $650
Replaced the engine about 5000km ago, cost $1350 + fitting
New copper radiator
Towbar
Sony explode cd player with I phone dock & sony explode speakers in the front doors
Electric boost gauge
3" exhaust, looks like an aftermarket dump pipe with the factory heat shields in place. Prolly no change from $1000 there
Has a genuine VF22 turbo worth $1800 + GST sitting in a cardboard box beside the car.
For those who don't know the VF22 is the largest of the IHI WRX turbos, but has the most lag. It is capable of 400+ HP with the right supporting modifications. The VF 22 is capable of handling up to 25lbs of boost. With the right supporting modifications, this turbo can make 17 PSI by 3000RPM.
This turbo is capable of being a good street upgrade, but is best suited to a high performance engine with the minimum of large exhaust, front mount intercooler and air intake modifications. It provides strong mid range performance and good top-end. Check out horsepowerinabox.com if you need confirmation
All IHI VF turbos are a bolt-on for Subaru EJ20, EJ22 & EJ25 engine
I have only ever ran 8 PSI boost in it. I expect you will need to upgrade the fuel system if you plan to throw much more boost into it. Even @ 8 PSI this thing goes hard. There isn't too much lag with heaps of mid & top end. Goes harder than my SR20 180SX with a T3 roller bearing turbo
This car owes me way more money than I'm going to receive from selling it but I've come to terms with that. If it goes for anywhere near the starting bid your getting a bargain. No test pilots / joyriders. I'm happy to take you for a drive but you don't drive it until you pay me.
That's everything I'm aware of, the good & the bad. Feel free to make arrangements & check it out for yourself 0412 065 003
