Toyota Auis SR180 2.2 D4D. 2008, 5 door, 93,400 miles. Part service history. 179 Bhp Diesel, 6 Speed manual. MOT Expires
3/11/15.
The car has just developed an engine management light on, with a message "Check Engine", I have had it diagnosed at a garage with the fault code P2002 (see pictures). They quoted me from between £150 to £1500 to fix the issues. It has a blocked Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The car still drives as normal, it even seems to have nearly the same power output, however after driving a few miles it goes into limp mode or "get you home mode". Which is then very hard to drive on the road.
The car itself is in good condition for the mileage and age. The rear bumper has the most amount of scratches, and will need a bit of touching up in areas, as will a couple of other areas on the car. Everything else apart from the DPF issue is good, it feels the same as it did when I bought it at 17000 miles. The MOT expired on the 3rd this month.
Features: Dual zone climate control, front parking sensors (Rear not working), iPod connection, Bluetooth phone system. Plus other features with the touch screen control. Cruise control, automatic lights, automatic rain sensing wipers, rear privacy glass, Toyota sport pack including rear suspension upgrade. Two keys. Service history is good and full, but doesn't fully match the books every 10,000 mile stamp. Has has new pads and discs all round about 3 months ago.
I want a quick sale, hopefully someone willing to take it on as a project and maybe make some money out of it. I have just started a new job and don't want the hassle of getting it fixed.
