I have for sale a lovely 2004 Toyota Avensis 2.0 VVT-I T4 Semi-Automatic 5-Seater Estate finished in Toyota Red/Maroon which has only done 88,000 miles (but please note that this mileage might rise a touch on handover as I’m still using it locally at the moment). The car’s in lovely order throughout, drives exceptionally well and the photos are a pretty good representation of its overall condition. There are no fluid leaks, it's camchain driven so no cambelt to worry about, it’s utterly reliable and is an extremely comfortable, luxurious car – especially on a journey – and it boasts every conceivable extra. Again, the interior is in immaculate order – almost like new really - with no rips or tears to the velour upholstery, and the car has all the refinements you would normally expect of a vehicle of this quality and type - amonst them stylish 17-inch alloys with locking wheel nuts and low-profile tyres (with lots of tread), power steering, f/f mud flaps all round, fully-fitted Toyota Avensis overmats, f/f dog/luggage guard, air bags, f/fogs, roof rails, ABS, rear load cover, onboard driver information computer system, remote central locking, alarm and immobiliser, dual climate control, air conditioning, electric folding mirrors, electric windows all round, traction control, multifunctional steering wheel controls, full-sized alloy spare wheel , radio/CD player, auto dim rear view mirror, etc. etc. Since I've owned the car it's had a new cylinder head gasket, complete engine cooling system flush and replacement coolant, new water pump, radiator and power steering pump, all carried out by a reputable local engine specialist. So, the car's been very well looked after, had much money spent on it and the engine’s been meticulously cared-for and maintained. That is to say anything that’s needed to be done on the car has been done - and to a high standard.
There’s no rust whatsoever on the vehicle, no strange noises either from the engine or the gearbox and it drives as sweet as a nut with all the reliability one has come to expect of a Toyota. It has masses of power yet fuel consumption is very good – particularly on a run. To give you an idea, last June I took it on one of its few major jaunts from Southport to Aberdeen for my daughter’s graduation ceremony at Aberdeen University – a distance just short of 400 miles. Just short of £70 filled the tank here in Southport and it used two thirds of the tank for the entire run. However, it hasn't done many journeys such as this because over the two years or so I’ve owned the car it's only ever been used to tootle around Southport.
The V5 is present as is the jack, brace, onboard toolkit, car handbook pack (inc. full main dealer service history), past HPI checks (I had it HPI checked when I bought it and it had been checked prior to that), bills for work carried out and past and present MOT’s plus 2 remote keys which will all be passed to the new owner upon completion of the sale. I’ve just put a new 12-month MOT until 28th September 2016 on the car and it sailed through with no advisories. Prospective purchasers should note that road tax is not transferable anymore and is subject to the new rules.
Please remember that although this is a really nice car it’s not directly out of the showroom so close inspection will obviously reveal the odd minor age-related mark here and there. It is after all an eleven year-old vehicle: if you want a brand new one and absolute perfection you’ll need to go directly to the main dealer for that!
Genuine sale as I now require a van or van-type vehicle for a new business venture, so may take p/x (WHY?) but no rubbish thankyou!
