1986 TOYOTA CAMRY
This amazing time capsule was bought from a local dealer who acquired from the original owner. This Camry is a true, documented on NJ title , original 46,000 mile car !!
Paint and body are in very good shape considering East Coast climate. There is a video of the car on the “tube” of operation and walkaround, look up 1986 Toyota Camry for sale / Jay Brown. Paint shows very well, outside of some stains /imperfections in the paint, along with a few minor chips here and there. The body overall is in very good, original factory shape. The body does have a couple dime sized dings, along with some minor damage on the front right fender. Also missing is some trim along the passenger side rocker below the doors. Very nice trim and brightwork. The undercarriage appears to be very solid with just signs of age, same goes with the trunk pan- very solid. The passenger side, bottom of rear door shows early stages of minor rust starting. All doors open and close really nice with a good solid feel. All glass in great shape.
The interior is even more impressive !! The word “crisp“ comes to mind when describing how nice, original and clean it is !! No signs of abuse, neglect or ever being smoked in. No cracks or tears in the dash pad, along with the door panels. Very nice headliner, seats and upholstery. All gauges work as they should. Working horn, signals and wipers. Working radio. Working HVAC controls, except the AC, it turns on, but no cold air ? Automatic transmission engages easily.
*Believed to Be* original drivetrain. Engine starts right up and settles to smooth idle. Engine has good power with smooth shifts. Car tracks straight with good braking power. Older tires which will be replaced for the new owner. Car does have an exhaust leak that can be addressed on how we sell it ?
If you’re looking for an honest, documented low mile , 80’s Japanese sedan that’s worthy of owning, that only needs a few minor details to make perfect ( trim, fender damage, AC, exhaust leak ) … than you found your new ride !!
