Description

This advert is for my 1994 Toyota Celica GT4 ST205.
Mot – 15/04/2015
Tax – 31/12/2014 (bare in mind the new car tax rules if the car sells after 01/10/2014)
Mileage – 142000
The car is an original UK GT4 and I've been told it's one of the very first batch of UK cars (but I haven't verified this). I've owned the car for for 3 years since purchasing it from a friend and prior to this I had owned the car before said friend purchased it from me originally (so all told I've had intimate knowledge of the past 8 years of the cars life).
During my ownership I've used the Celica as both a daily driver and a weekend toy and it has performed faultlessly in both of these roles. It has been serviced regularly and well maintained thoughout it's life and I have the original service book with main service stamps for every 10,000miles, with only a single gap of 1 year in the history during a period when the car was taken off the road (which can be verified by checking the mileage on the service and mot records). There is also a large folder of receipts and records of work done on the car over the years. This includes the replacement of the figure 8's 5 years ago and a replacement clutch 3 years ago.
The car is mostly standard but has been fitted with an aftermarket stainless steel exhaust, an aftermarket air filter and a DVD/CD player head unit. I still have the original airbox and filter which I can supply with the car. The car also has a cat 1 cobra alarm/immobiliser fitted with two key fobs.
Cosmetically the car is a bit scruffy round the edges. Being silver the paintwork doesn't tend to show up most minor blemishes but it has all the usual stone chips and little scratches you'd expect of a 20 year old car. The wheels if I'm honest could really do with a refurbish. They all have chips and dings, but this is all purely cosmetic and all the alloys hold tire pressure fine. The interior is typical Toyota, bland but hard wearing. There are the usual scuffs and scrapes from 20 years of use but the only fault inside is a small rip (about an inch) in the drivers seat bolster (common issue on these).
In summery:-
Good points:
7 months Mot
4 months Tax
Good service history and receiptsfile
Mechanically well looked afterwith a lot of work done and running well.
Good quality DVD/CD player andalarm system
Bad points:-
Paintwork and wheels are scruffy
Rip in drives seat
High mileage (although low forage)
Air con doesn't work
In terms of the reason for the sale, I'm getting married and need the money, plus my soon-to-be wife can only drive automatics So yeah, that's a thing
Any inspection is welcome, feel free to call me on 01793 886615 or 07919905656 or drop me an email if you have any questions or want to come and look at the car.
I've tried to be as honest as I can with the advert but I'm bound to have forgotten something, so I will updateif anything occurs to me. I've adored owning the car and it's been a faultless and fun daily driver. I can hand on heart say I will be sad to see it finally leave my life.
