Description
2002 Toyota Celica T Sport in Black / Midnight Blue.
For sale is my much loved Celica, I now have a company car, and cannot afford to run an additional vehicle.
I have owned the car since 2010, and will be sad to see it go.
It is an absolute joy to drive, and as exciting as the day I bought it.
Enough of the emotional attachmentsAbout the car;
The car is in Black officially, however upon closer inspection, it is a very dark metallic blue (original paintwork) this is just how Toyota registered the paint colour. It has done just under 98,000 miles, and comes with an MOT which expires in October 2014, I have just taxed it for the next 6 months as well.
The front discs and brakes have just been replaced, and the radiator was done about a year ago (common problem with the Celica, the bottom corners of the radiators are prone to rot).
It is the face lifted T Sport model, and was an improved model against the original 190 VVTLI edition. A few alterations Toyota made was the grill at the front, where the Toyota badge sits, stiffer suspension, slightly different interior, and traction control - for those of you who are into numbers, the 0-60 time is just over the 7 second mark as standard.
The only modification/change that has been made to the whole vehicle, is the rear section of exhaust which was an addition at the back end of last year, and this is an alteration that should have been made much sooner, with a vehicle that revs to 8000, the lift kicks in at about 6200 and the exhaust sounds absolutely fantastic - the rest of the car is completely standard, and what you would have expected when it left the factory.
The new owner of the vehicle will not be disappointed, and will get a lot of car for the money.
Please remember that this is not a brand new car, and there are some cosmetic areas which could be addressed, I have listed all that I can remember, whilst I will be as honest as possible please do not let these points put you off as they do not require immediate attention and can be addressed throughout your ownership;
*stone chips, mainly to the front bumper
*a few light scuffs/scratches - not deep scores
*in hindsight I should have had car mats, but didn't so the drivers side carpet has 2 wear and tear holes
*2 very slight marks on the passenger dash
*air con could do with recharging
*original wheels on the car, so would benefit from refurbishing (paint flaking - still sealed, and not leaking)
*3 very small rust spots on the paint work
*the fuel door which covers the petrol cap has 2 hinges - one of these has been broken for years - so could do with replacing
*rear wiper blade could benefit from a change
*Small paint scuff above the front number plate where somebody has hit the car with a trolley/car park ding
These are all cosmetic, and not very expensive jobs - they also have no impact on the performance or handling of the car, and have already been taken into consideration when pricing the car - so please do not buy, to then negotiate on these areas.
Please ensure you can insure the vehicle before agreeing to buy, and I will not be willing ship the vehicle overseas, or arrange delivery. I will not be accepting overseas payments - the selling of this vehicle is on a collection only basis, with cash on collection.
I ALSO HAVE THE CAR ADVERTISED ELSEWHERE, SO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW IF SOLD..
