1987 Toyota Corolla FX16 Hatchback 2-Door 1.6L

This is a very sharp looking car that runs well and doesn't need much work to be even better.We bought the car with a bad rod bearing and fresh paint. The engine was replaced with another 4AGE block, crank, and a set of forged Venolia pistons. We anticipated the use of a turbo or maybe a nitrous fogger, but in the meantime we simply assembled the engine with its stock intake and exhaust systems. It runs good and is capable of surviving some future power upgrades, as well. We have too many projects on our hands right now and we won't likely get time to play with the Corolla anytime soon. It is a extremely practical car with room for 4 or fold the seats down and load large items through the rear hatch. 30MPG, too.5-Speed manual transmission shifts easily and there is no sign of worn synchronizers. This FX16 has not been "customized" or messed up by previous owners. It's very original and would make a great starting point for your own custom ride, or just relive your 1980's youth by leaving it stock.
