Hi there and welcome to my listing,
I bought this car last week (15/12/15) but after getting it home I've realised that I cannot get insured on it permanently - an absolute shame given how well it drives!
I shall start with the good points;
I was told that the clutch has been done approx. 500 miles before I bought it (operates perfectly being nice and light)Has had the VVT-I lift bolts sorted (common issue but it's been rectified)Recent service (plugs and oil clean)Doesn't burn oil or consume coolantVVT-I works beautifully - really pulls after 6250rpm!Drives very smoothly and the gearbox is tight and accurateBrakes work as they should, with no nasty noisesPipercross panel filterStainless backbox (not too loud but sounds good)Lowered all round by approx. 35mmMOT'd until April 2016All electrics work as they should do - including climate controlInterior is very clean and has no driver's seat bolster wear (I do have a boot carpet, just removed for photos)
All tyres have plenty of tread and no bulges etcHPI Clear
There are a few bad points, but nothing major;
Small bit of damage to front bumperDriver's side mirror is black (do have a working red mirror to go with it)Slight laquer peel to passenger side roof sectionA/C is fitted but doesn't work - may just need a gas top-up
All in all, considering it's done 133k it drives and performs superbly. Come and have a look and see for yourself. I'll allow test drives (with insurance and the cash in my hand) or I can take you out in it as I'm insured on it temporarily. It drives like a car with half the mileage and it has full service history upto 122k miles. From it's condition, it's clear that it has been well looked after by it's previous owners - for the last 3/4 years it's been doing less than 5000 miles/year. These really are great, under-rated cars that perform well and will keep up with the likes of the Civic Type-R easily. It really rather annoys me that Mr. Insurance says no - I'd love to keep it!
