This very rare 1985 Toyota Hiace Camper Van is factory fitted with the very rare column shift automatic transmission configuration (with overdrive) coupled to the 2.4 litre diesel engine.The van is fitted with an original Sunliner Camper Conversion which includes pop-top roof, fridge, sink, fold down bed, table, huge cupboard storage space and can legally carry five passengers. . As can be seen in the photos, the compliance plate shows that the vehicle is an Australian delivered vehicle and not an overseas "import".
As a "Barn Find" opportunity this terrific project camper will take very little re-commissioning work to have her ready for the road again. Currently the vehicle drives well, everything works and the speedo is reading under 200,000 kilometres.
Although the original camper van has a few minor dents and dings, the most important aspect of the whole vehicle is that the body is completely rust free and is structurally very sound.
