1985 Toyota Landcruiser Sahara

Excellent 1985 Sahara with an ARB aftermarket turbo setup. The engine in this car is the cleanest running
2H I have ever seen, Zero smoke under power. The engine has plenty of usable power thanks to the turbo and
returns reasonable economy compared to the non turbo 2H. The interior is excellent and has the
velour upholstery. There is a sunroof that works and does not leak, There are how ever a few electrical issues
involving the central locking and power windows, the rear windows work via their own switches but not from the
master switches on the driver door, The passenger window only works via the master switch on drivers door.
Central locking does not work or the cruise, I never got around to getting an auto elec to look at the issues.
Both the front and rear aircon units work very well and it was great over summer.
There is a slight wine in the transfer box, Most likely a gear or bearing. All the brakes, Rear brake cylinders, Suspension
bushings and battery were replaced when car was purchased and the brake master cylinder had a kit put through
it. All this was carried out 10 months ago and the car has been used rarely since. The transmission was also given
a good going over but in recent weeks has developed major slippage in 3rd making the car hard to drive. As a result the starting bid
has been reduced as I cant find a good second hand trans and don't have time to investigate it. You can get the car up to speed by manually
holding it in second and popping back into drive once you hit 40kmh.
Lastly, You wont find a more rust free 60 around that's original, It has the Japanese built body and that's the reason.
This vehicle would suit someone who wants either a bush basher or 4x4 to haul the boat etc, Don't let the high Km's put you off
as most of them were from many outback trips according to the previous owner and it is a 1985 vehicle after all.
Bidding will start at $3500 and car will pass an RWC once tranny is fixed as its done bugger all driving since the last RWC.
